Too bad The 49ers didn't return to the Super Bowl this year. I feel bad for Kyle Williams. But I hope Jim Harbaugh can bring the Super Bowl to San Francisco soon.
I don't remember much, but I remember the weepy tribute KGO 7 paid the night of her death. While driving to work, she reacted to another accident by swerving. She landed near Fort Point, not in the Bay. And I vaguely remember Mark Gibson hosting the tribute, who later, of course, died of a heart attack while at the gym. I can't find any info on the web to clarify, sorry. I was 7.
I read in some archives from the S.F. Chronicle, that she indeed died on 08/10/85 in a head on car crash as a result of drunk driving. According to the article, it took police until 08/15/85 to indentify Johnson by her dental records because her injuries in the accident were that severe and her car was crushed by the impact of the accident.
So... he recorded the local news cast on 1/20, rewound it to before the stuff not relating to the Super Bowl, recorded local Super Bowl coverage on 1/21, recorded a couple of seconds of national Super Boal coverage on 1/21, and then stopped?
Considering that these news videos frequently get one star ratings from some anonymous coward, apparently someone out there actually does wish I would post nothing at all.

Drunk driving was a factor in Beverly Johnson's death but I don't remember if it was hers or someone elses.

Beverly Johnson later became the news when she drove off the Bridge.

Yeah, the web is pretty devoid of info about her, but I believe you. Sounds pretty tragic. KGO news personalities seem to have bad luck.
