yea lets sit and argue over bands "ripping off" other bands because they sound similar. thats called a fucking genre. bands in the same genre will always sound similar because thats the whole fucking point of a genre. if you want bands that are doing their own thing listen to one of the millions of bands out there that experiment with sound and try new shit. the bands that have more talent than anyone in the world but will never be famous because they are just doingit to expand the horizon.

I must say this is one of the best song ever written, imho. It's fucking heavy, it's fucking melodic, it makes you bang your fucking head, it's just amazing!!! My compliments to the chief!!
Not bad. I still consider Finnish and Swedish melodic death metal scene far better, but Danish scene is only making it's rise now, so making judgements is too early for now. But keep up good work, since there's still room here at the top of metal world ;D
@OnlyLifeMatters I couldn't agree more with you. There are inumerous examples of what you are saying (Amon Amarth, Dismember, Dark Tranquillity...). Once I was talking to a friend, trying to figure out why those guys make so freaking good masterpieces. The only answer we got was because there nothing but ice in there. So they stay all day long for 6 months writing songs... hahahaha...
@allformsofagony Yes, winter sure has something to do with it :D but for what comes to Finland, the finnish melodic death metal scene is too still under construction. There are at least some 22 excellent melodic death metal bands here, and then untold number of good metal bands, but they are all less known than swedish melodic death metal, even though finnish melodeath is widely recognized. So, from where I'm seeing it, Denmark and her metal scene is standing where Finland was 10 years ago.
@OnlyLifeMatters Good!! IS there any material from those new bands you're saying there are in Finland??? You know, 22 good bands is a huge number, when you compare it with Brazil.. Although we're a huge country, Heavy Metal is not the national preference. And the best bands are either melodic heavy metal or extreme death metal. Melodic death metal is still very small here. I'm in the few bands trying to make some melodeath here. The are others like Zilla and Spreading Hate...
@allformsofagony Well, I try to put as many as I can: Barren Earth, Ghost Brigade, Insomnium, Mors Principium Est, Synestesia, Omnium Gatherum, Noumena, MyGrain, Pain Confessor, Profane Omen, Kiana, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Norther (not exactly new), Naildown, Survivor's Zero, Manufacturer's Pride, Nicole, Obscure, Diablo, Machete. Then there are Kalmah and Children of Bodom that are older. New acts are forming all the time, though.
Melodic Death has an foothold here in Finland, for sure.

Others (very fucking good bands) are: Zilla, Spreading Hate, Coral de Espíritos, Vismal, Deadly Curse, Dark Ages and Unliver. From all of these, I highly recommend you to listen to the first three. They all have myspace profiles! Hope you like them! Tell me what you think of them!

Before the show I searched them up, they were decent at best, and I assumed they would be better than High On Fire, but boy was I wrong. They shouldn't have even played in the presence of Mastodon and Dethklok.
