Im watching your hand motions...and its looks like you're muting tracks thru the pads...like you would do on the XL model or mpc1000 and etc. I have a mpc2000 classic like yours...and i didnt know it had that capability. If it does, then i've been doing shit the hard way. school a fellow MPC peep on that track muting function.
@t0nyb2 you shouldn't even own an MPC if you don't know the answer to that question. If you have a machine that is part of an elite line of industry standard equipment, then your turntable should be too. Techniques 1200's all day. last forever, solid, and precise as shit (pitchwise).
what sound speakers do you use? im trying to get a setup with some good but cheap speakers and a mpc 2500 or mpc2000 xl if i find it on amazon or ebay. plus, that beat was fucking hot dude! watching guys like you working on the mpc just makes me want to get one more :D
the hand gestures... I understand your feelin it but usually when my ego takes over like that, I realize I can do more with my time. Im not hating, just hopefully pushing. You got some dope beats, I wanna see some completely live stuff with the play button turned off. Thats where real rhythym exists.
@sie1315 "...I realize I can do more with my time" - what does that mean?
To be honest, I can't play everything live at the same time. As long as the beats hot, I don't think that really matters though. Thanks for the criticism. Peace.
@sie1315 actually when you say " wanna see some completely live stuff with the play button turned off. Thats where real rhythym exists." that can be argumented about because in order to build up a track, part by part also requires good rythm sense as you always need to focus on tempo and watch you are doing at the moment and what you did before
@sie1315 What, he can't enjoy his own fucking beat? It has a sequencer for a reason, and judging by your vids, you need to use yours more often. Just saying.
@TheReasonableLogic Im not looking to be accepted into the world of hiphop via Internet. When you've done this shit for 12 years, had shine, you start to not even give a fuck about hitting a record button. Yea he can feel his own beat, i would hope so. It just consists of very few vocal/piano samples over a drum beat. It has to many chefs in the kitchen for that amount of samples, who really made the beat? My videos are real old for a reason, why you wanna battle? I'll show you where im at now.
Wonderfull. Try and built some tension in your tracks. This is a good start, but you may find that introducing different breaks and adding a solo instrument or voice, can make this work even better. ;-) Keep it up! You're doing great.
@emileganja. I do find myself using the same drums and kicks alot. I have one drum disk that i made that has about 6 kicks and around 7 snares, hi hats and so on. Its the drums i love and i feel it identifies my sound, know what im saying.
I discovered your youtube page a few weeks ago and I have to say that you are the best youtube producer I've ever heard. I'm glad there are still people out there making soulfull beats. I normally don't comment on videos, but your beats are so moving, I had to tell you. Much props and respect.
