You know, not to blame Arthur for falling into sneaky Charlie's trap, but couldn't he just mine the tin mine? There IS Tin, as Babar pointed out, and he could still make a profit, though not as quickly as if it were a gold mine. It's not like tin isn't valuable and despite Charlie's sneaky tactics, he DID say it was a tin mine.
