  • Paused at 3:05 ... " Sting Myself "

    *facepalm*

*Hits play and continues watching video waiting to see what happens*

  • That was smart

  • i got stung by a box when it got stuck in my casting net, draped my net back over my shoulder to cast again and bang. most excruciating pain ive ever felt

  • Im never going in the Ocean again!

  • lol ive found them before on townsville beach wasnt game to get to close evan though it was onshore lol

  • So....he explains how painful the sting is, how it could kill you....and then he stings himself on purpose........

  • @cozmosmashzu

You'd have to REALLY get stung badly for it to be life threatening. Something like 10+ feet of tentacle would have to sting you

  • @HeavyMetalhead86 It's not that it's life threatening, it's the fact that he would put himself through that pain knowing full well how much it would hurt. Bit I guess that was probley in the job description when he got the job.

  • Man thats dedication when someone stings himself to show his viewers!

  • 5:30 Caaaaaaarikey!

  • Lifeguard says "Hey, guy! is this what you're looking for? CATCH!"

  • To all those people who keep saying its fake because the venom takes 20 minutes to activate I don't disagree that its probably fake but he stung himself with the chironex fleckeri not irukandji. Chironex Fleckeri venom activates immediately. Irukandji venom takes 20 minutes for symptoms to start.

  • @riptiderockergirl not true. the irukandji venom takes about 5 mins befour u start to notic it. i know it has been said that it takes 20min by an expert but this is not true i have seen difference a guy was stung . allready after 5 mins he started to have irukandji syndrom...

  • @Veggis76 20 minutes is an average. It can vary from person to person depending on where they got stung and their own health.

  • ohhhhhh. it seems to be a good weapon.

  • i love those lifeguards

  • not fake, i was stung 2 years ago and the pain immediately shoots through your body. you can feel your blood burning through your veins, undescribable agony, i wanted to die

  • Fake you would be rushed to a hospital because it takes 20mins to activate.

  • @Creedlocation

You're thinking about the irukandgi, which is explained later on. Our boxed blighters are instantaneous pain givers.

  • @Creedlocation Thats the Irukandji.. Not the box jellyfish (though the Irukandji is technically a box jellyfish)

  • @slk320k i did some research on that reddish orange jellyfish. i have figured out that it is called the lion's mane jellyfish and is the worlds largest jellyfish.

  • Dump shit...... 4:28

  • fake probably. no reason at all to sting yourself on tv when you can just act it.

  • Theres nothing in the world that can convince me to be stung by an Irukandji. Not even if you offered me a million dollars!

  • DAMM NATURE YOUR SCARY!

  • "HE STINGS HIMSELF DELIBERATELY WITH THE WORLDS MOST DEADLY ANIMAL" lmao dumbfuck...next time shoot yourself with the biggest GUN on earth straight to your left eye pls...fucking retarded moron

  • @EviLSiLenZ that was probably the most retarded comment I've ever heard, that would KILL him...

  • they say "Nobody swim in or out of the nets!" and yet at 9:42 you can see people in the distance swimming lol

  • WHY WOULD HE STING HIMSELF???????

  • Come on, Dude! I know you're on TV, but Seriously!!! Use your head! YOU KNOW for a fact that people DIE from this and its VERY PAINFUL, so why would you go and sting yourself? Yes, we get it, the jelly fish a little asshole.... but on the otherhand, it did make for an interesting episode! : D

  • This guy is nuts.

  • this makes me not want to swim ANYWHERE

I'm not even having a bath again

    lol

  • Got to love irukandji, can kill in minutes, such a tiny animal, got to love how scary nature is.

  • lol...did u belive this noob?! Irukandji venim takes place in 20 mins then the pain installs...not instant!!! sh1et video

  • Not that he wasn't in a lot of pain, obviously...but hurting yourself for a TV show that you're getting paid a lot of money for isn't that "brave" in the grand scheme of things.

  • God had a bad day. He look at the world and it was not good, so he said "bugger it" and created a box jellyfish and an irukanji. He got better the following days, but forgot to fix his mistake.

  • Goddamn, this guy is really committed to his job isn't he? I think the pictures were enough, he didn't have to go that gar o_o

  • why dont you plaster more "slk320k" on the video

  • Nice Channel. :)

  • wats more painful box jellyfish sting bullet ant or irukandji box jelly? cos iv herd ther all the worst pain lol

  • @jimmythepuff i know the irukandji is the stronger than the box and its tiny but im not sue bout the bullet ant

  • Everytime I see his videos I realize that this guy is full of dedication for his job...and really got balls!

I think that sometimes the only way to discover nature's secrets is to find personally what's beyond books and studies and go on the field to play!

Obviously you can do that only if you perfectly know what you're doing and all the risks you could take

  • dude you are the bravest person i have ever known about and im not just saying that.

  • I got stung by a jellyfish in panama and my cousin had to pee on my leg. I had the worse fever that week.

  • "Don't touch it."

She must not have heard the name of the show. (.____.''')

  • Lol, anyone noticed he puts on his wetsuit with the zipper in front at 7.24, hehe.

  • Irukandji??? Was it discovered in japan?

  • Why not just use a finer net for the enclosure to prevent Irukandji from entering?

  • Is it true if you piss on your leg that it stops the pain???

  • @alaskanhuskeee92 it neutralises unleashed stingers. doesn't stop the pain. it could save your life. piss, just like vinegar, is alkaline

  • 1:14?

    Backwards?

  • Oh man thats crazy. Here in Germany are painfull yelly fishes too but not like as the deamon boxe ones. We got the fire yelly fishes. They very painfull, but you can't die.

  • wow that was only one tentacle and it already huts a lot!

  • it seems like it doesn't hurt at first

  • When i went to visit my grandma in El Salvador we went to this one creek and they're was this like rare redish orangish jellyfish i got stung and couldn't breathe ._. until my eyes closed slowly the ambulance came and i got saved :D i was so stupid back then -.- why the hell didi i touch it o_o..? LMFAOO he puts it on backwards XDD put it on i dont wanna see your sack lol

  • @xRebelCherryx

Did anyone tell you the type of jellyfish that stung you?

I would like to know the name if you can remember it.

    It is in a creek?

How far inland from the sea?

    Just curious.

  • @slk320k

    Sea nettle?

  • @slk320k Box Jellyfish breed in riverbeds and creeks.

  • @xRebelCherryx

You probably had an allergic reaction to it, I doubt it was the venom by itself that caused the reaction. I've been stung by about 2 feet of Portugese Man O' War tentacle on my right arm, and THAT fucking hurt

  • a 10 yr old girl from austrailia, was an victim recently and she servieved

  • Yep, I remember when a jellyfish just brushed past me, with the tiniest touch and it was the most painful thing ever, and it lasts for so long. LoL I would never purposely let myself be stung again, ever.

  • that guy is chatting shit an irukandji is a type of box jellyfish

  • What rubbish! Great acting though :)

  • Thank you for uploading these video's subbing.

  • what was he thinking...ouch!!!

  • has anybody ever gotten stung by a jelly fish here? how would you describe the pain

  • @halfbaked44 Depending. I live in Puerto Rico and we get stung during the high season. Its just anoying as hell. It feels like what inching powder feels like but with heat. The ones here are not that bad at all compared to those DEMON BOX ONES. lol Whats worse than the Jellyfish here are the FIRE CORAL.. Now THAT sucks! You want to rip your skin off.

  • @hairspray1979

My fire coral upload is coming ...

Check back in a few weeks.

  • UGGGGH his voice is sooo annoying.

  • What the fucking hell? the first creature he showed looks like the shit I was snorkeling with on a vacation some weeks ago. But probably not the same though.

  • You need hot water to ease the pain.

  • hot water does nothing for the pain bro, the strongest dose of morphein doesnt even take the edge off

  • Good documentary, it explains why Box Jellies, and Irukandjis have such potent venom.

  • lol at 9:48 it flashes subscribe

  • sssshhhhhhh !!!!!

    keeping it quiet.

  • @slk320k

    i subbed at 3:00 ;-)

  • @Itachi977 uh wow how did you catch that?

  • @Itachi977 sharingan doesn't miss anything!!

  • You rock dude! We salute you for the illustration :)

  • omg ive been there even where he was standing and when i was there all i saw was like 100 jelly fishes on the sand it was awesome scary though

  • lol ow?

  • I hope they pay him a lot of money to do this show.

  • he should try with blue rings octopus! :)

  • Commendable, wanting to endure a minor sting. Note that my use of the word 'minor' was not intended to undermine his efforts; it must have been awful.

  • yo slk u spelled irukandji wrong on the title

  • bite me....

  • OUCH o____O

  • it has eyes :s strange

  • wait why were there people walking into the water at the end???

  • wowee
