  • Does it really matter in the big scheme of things whose better. Each band mentioned changed the world of music in their own way. The real shame would be if we were never able to hear ANY of their songs. Different eras, different head spaces, different generations of fans. What blows me away is that there are young kids now who pick up on the quality of these bands and stand face forward against the onslaught of there own generations brainwashing by the press and all media Beiber, Lady Gaga etc.

  • CurtisMateer I LOVE Beatles but no one band member could ever win an "apples to apples comparison" forgive the cliché. For bass watch Jonesy shred a mandolin and play the bass line with his feet. Earls Court live is all I have to say

  • Harrison is a more melodic player than Page, more restrained, his slide playing is beautiful. A 10 minutes solo with a violin bow is a bit gimmicky even perhaps. As for bass players Macca wins hands down, even technically, in comparison. His contrapuntal ear for counter melodies on the bass is possibly even unsurpassed in popular music recordings...

  • ACDC Over both! :-)

  • @professorthumbscrew As I always say: in contrast to AC/DC, Led Zeppelin was an AUTHENTIC Rock N' Roll band... The member of Led Zeppelin are true musicians with their heart! you can't compare stones to diamonds...

  • @FelicianB

You're clearly a Bieber fan, then.

  • Everyone may report @TeramKontrus comment as spam. Thanks

  • It's sad that the majority of my generation can't appreciate this type of music.

  • @shineeportal So true, my friend. This still sounds pretty good even after 40 years.

  • My kid Fifteen said he loved the bass that sub-woofers play in todays music . then he asked me what kinda sub woofer did I have as a kid...told him didnt need one with Zeplin as you listened to the voice and what the story told as the music played. Then you listened again and again to hear the rest of the stuff. I still listen today after 30 plus years and find new stuff with it.

Led Zeppiln Rules like no other.

  • This was one of their more interesting numbers. I loved the lyrics and the music was really cool too. The little gems that never made to the charts where the best.

  • MONY?

  • THANKSJESUS

  • led zeppelin and rush crush everyone

  • The Beatles can never compare to Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin has the best singer, best guitarist, best drummer, and best bass player all in one band. Whos the better drummer between John Bonham and Ringo Starr? haha...BONHAM!!!! Jimmy Page or George Harrison? that question makes me chuckle. theres just no comparison, The Beatles are great but Zep just blows em away

  • @IncensePeppermints68 No need to compare any bands. Just enjoy them for their differences and the great music they've given us. If all were exactly the same how boring would that be? Naw, no comparisons, just enjoy awesome music made by some talented people.

  • @IncensePeppermints68 I do respect The Beatles for their unavoidable influence on music, and they have a handful of songs I like, but they're so fucking overrated.

  • @EviscerationK holy shit will you marry me?

  • @TheWaterMelum Sure if you want :)

  • @IncensePeppermints68 That may be very true, every member of Led Zeppelin was a better player than the Beatles counterpart, but don't think of it like that. Think about who wrote the better songs overall. (and who wrote more of them). Zeppelin started disintegrating near the end. The last Beatles album (Let It Be) was incredible. Just saying.

  • @Mettal4 i agree with that, In Through the Out Door is a weak album. and i like The Beatles alot, im not trying to bash them

  • @IncensePeppermints68 I beg yo differ! ITTOT is not a weak album! in the evening, carasoulambra, which is one of the best rock songs ever! all my love>, that is aclassic unto itself! Give it some time, P.

  • @MegaZephead It doesnt have the strength of anything before it tho

  • @IncensePeppermints68 Individually, yes, the artists in Led Zeppelin blow The Beatles away. But no other rock band has ever been able to copy the energy, symmetry and colaboration with each other that The Beatles have. Many of their methods were groundbreaking and intuitive. That has yet to be repeated as well. Most bands in the 60's and 70's had great artists, and people will always debate who the best drummer, singer, guitarist was, and so on. The Beatles defined what a rock BAND is.

  • @IncensePeppermints68 totally different bands/times...

  • @IncensePeppermints68 Artistic comparisons between bands always fail. What are the categories for who's better. You're trying to apply quantitative value to a qualitative thing, i.e, music. It can't be done, so stop trying to. People like The Beatles, people like Led Zeppelin, who honestly cares? Each to his own, live and let live.

  • @bobdy9988 Hey I'll chime in on this one.To a degree you're right. However,I feel the Beatles got an artificial 'boost' from the media with words like british invasion.to me they cranked out love songs.Plus they rode fame with that school-boy charm. As far as technical prowess,Zep blows them out the door.Zep did it through not so subtly changing the genre of rock-n-roll.Zep got famous BECAUSE of their technical prowess.Yes,apples and oranges.Foolish to compare, ones WAY above the other.

  • @IncensePeppermints68 Well The Beatles Are Arguably The Most Influential and Creative Band Ever. Led Zeppelin's Influence Was Blues, Folk, AND The Beatles. I Mean They Were Were One Of First Really Creative Experiental Bands That Took Every thing To The Extreme. You Gotta Admire That.

  • @IncensePeppermints68 Yes but Led Zepplin was the worste live band. They were truly a studio band. i love Led Zepplin but only you suck their dicks and swallow. SRV rocks everybody across the board more than Led Zep, U2, Metallica, Jazz,Rap, K West, M jackson or anybody. Nobody reached the souls that SRV did, especially in such short time. Pink Floyd is a better contributor then Led zep or The Who as well to Rock following across the board, unless u are black or white trailer trash.

  • Rush and Led Zeppelin are the ultimate bands which transcend all other bands. I like to think of Led Zeppelin as the mothership of bands and Rush in a specialized class by itself (undefined, due to not being relevant to this dimension).

  • No way the beatles i dont think so Zep will kill em in ever department, vocals, bass player drummer guitarist, be serious, beatles are the most overrated band ever, the stones are better than them.

  • ONe of their most under rated songs...

  • CHINA HATES U

  • GOLDDONTMATTER FOOL?>3

  • Paradiddles

  • perform

  • know

  • hmmm... I'd have to say that the 60's was the most competitive time in the Rock Era (though the 70's would be second). Also remember The Beatles only recorded for eight years, while Zeppelin recorded for twelve.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • man that hangman is a huge dick.

  • "hangman hangman"

  • Album uz koji sam odrastao........ koliko lijepih uspomena..

  • You know at the very tippy tippy top there's The Beatles. But just underneath that, and I mean only a hair below, is Zeppelin all by themselves. Too bad Bonham had to die when he did, because this group was still at the top of their game when they disbanded in 1980. Maybe in the next life I'll get to see both groups live with their original lineups on a double bill !!!

  • @SoAPyiLLuSiONn666 The Beatles had 8 years, Zeppelin had 12. I think Zeppelin was around longer man.

  • @SoAPyiLLuSiONn666 cmon i like zepp. but i'm not blind beatles it's the greatest band ever, not competition

  • I hate it that im born in this time...

  • Dislikers are Justin Bieber's fans!

  • @grtextube37 chris cornell can. listen to beyond the wheel by soundgarden. and bam

  • @grtextube37 check out the original. John Jacob Niles - The Maid Freed From The Gallows (1940) [HQ] :)

  • @Nellynoodlebums

I just checked out the song, and I can see how they're related to each other, and how Zeppelin maybe got inspiration from JJ Niles, but the songs are totally different. Zeppelin actually playing instruments being the biggest.

  • @Stoite Agreed :)

  • @grtextube37 Most definitely sir. Robert Plant is a god of the vocals, and Jimmy Page is a guitar god.

  • @grtextube37 There is only ONE Robert Plant
