  • How some people are comparing the AL version to Paul's version/s(this and ukraine 2008) is just baffling! compare adams career to pauls?? Paul wipes the floor with adam in every way shape and form! i actually turned off halfway through adams version it was plain awful, pauls versions still give me chills, simply stunning.

  • adam lambert is that the name of one of the pimples on pauls ass ? lol

  • this has so much soul

  • no conosco mucho de paul pero le pone su onda a el tema y salebien si obvio no es freddy pero la onda se complementa

  • seriously one badass performance by legends joining forces to honor some good old rock and roll , just ignore the lilttle childish comments made about music and artist from a time they couldnt possibly understand

  • paul is my #2 singer behind Mercury

  • 3:50 Paul Rodgers taps his feet off beat... but its ok cuz its PAUL FUCKING RODGERS

  • I would have liked it a lot if they made a tour with George Michael, because his cover of Somebody to love is simply stunning

  • Hell of a singer. No, he's not Freddie. But, damnit he made the song his own, and it fucking rocks.

  • Paul Rodgers USE SHURE BETA 87 A !!! THE BEST MIC IN LIVE!!!

  • @maxvega61 ya i like the beta 87, but i love the sennheiser skm 5200 :) just a question of opinion i guess

  • Has anyone told Rodgers that only Freddie Mercury could sing these songs !!

  • I like this version!!!!!

  • i really dont like this version is horrible mm sorry but he really dont sing well this song is horrible

  • @thejovis -- Paul Rodgers has been recruited by too many great musicians to be dismissed as a singer. He's one of the best rock singers in history -- just like Mercury. I agree that stylistically, he's a bit of an odd choice for Queen. He has trouble conveying the vibe Freddie sent. But Freddie would be equally hard-pressed to deliver Paul Rodgers songs. Nonetheless, both are phenomenal.

  • This version is really interesting...although i prefer Jeff Scott's one, and lambert's too. However from these two I think Jeff really sounds "stronger" that lambert and kind of makes me like it a little more.

  • man, i will tell u, i like queen with paul rodgers, but after seeing this, i can't explain what i felt, see it please: watch?v=4dBDYIgmeaA&feature=related

please if u like, thumbs it up, i wish everybody could see this, even QUEEN

Impossibel!!!!!

  • I'm sorry but..what the fuck is wrong with some of you?

Adam Lambert? Some X Factor/Pop Idol or whatever corporate bullshit machine?

    Seriously?

".IF anyone could replace Freddie...it can ONLY be Adam Lambert!"

Sort your fucking life out mate

  • sucks... sorry

  • where was this concert??????

  • es el primer tema que escuche sin F.M. no me agrada el tono de voz, el menos en este tema. No hay ni habrá lugar quién reemplace a Freddie :)

  • Paul Rodgers - Adam Lambert. PERIOD.

  • ironic that was probably their final encore of the night.

  • Кто там был и оторвался - палец вверх!!!

  • 154 dislike???

  • it,s no Adam lambert

  • Oh, and I miss John Deacon. I loved that they all three went back together again at least one more time for a tribute to Freddie. I miss John Deacon!

  • I feel sad to hear someone else singing that song on stage. It is very sad to know that we will never hear Freddie singing it live ...

  • This guy sings very well but is not half of stage presence that Freddie had. Freddie filled the stage and had a mystique that no one will match. But yes, Paul Rogers has a nice voice. I like it. Freddie - My King !

  • nobody does it like Freddy..... :(

  • Paul Rodgers, the law and quite.

  • euro in trouble world in trouble but..... the show must go on

  • In my personal opinion, i don't like Paul Rodgers for this song....it sounds so boring ...i'ts like Queen is going down the hill ....i am so glad that Adam Lambert recoveres the energy for Queen !!! Roger and Brian seemed very happy after Adam's performance.

  • Фредди ни кто не заметит, всю песню испортил этот кролик роджер!

  • Of coz nobody can come near freddie but this is PAUL RODGERS we are listening to and not some lousy cover.

  • freddies words live on,he left a lagacy,

  • Ok, despite the fact that there is a second guitarist, but Brian May still plays like GOD.

  • This man's career speaks volumes!! (pun intended!) Thanks @genome38...I too know my legends!!

  • Wanna a good cover voice for Freddie MErcury? Search for JEFF SCOTT SOTO and his Queen tribute councert.

  • Chuck Norris did a great job!

  • and Roger and Brian should stop cashing in or flogging a dead horse on something magical that died in 1991 and never will be replicated.

  • Adam Lambert will never be as good or charasmatic as Freddie Mercury or Paul Rodgers, Paul Rodgers was Freddies favourite singer, enough said.

  • I liked Paul Rodgers when he was lead for Bad Company but this is awful I don't know why Brian even allowed him to sing this in public it was so bad. It doesn't even sound like TSMGO. I guess I'm spoiled after watching and listening to Adam Lambert sing it at EMAs. Such a beautiful song but Paul destroyed the song.

  • I have a lot of respect for any singer who tries to bring the spirit of unforgettable Freddie Mercury back. Those are big shoes to fill! Paul Rodgers did a fine job and he has a unique, bluesy tone to his voice, however, as I am watching this performance after Adam Lambert literally blew my mind at the EMAs just recently, this one does not compare for me. I simply miss the "show" here and the level of intensity in terms of electrifying vocals and stage presence brought on by the lead singer.

  • Holy smokes, it doesn't even sound like "Show must go on" this dude turned this song into a "Bad company sound" sucks big time - nobody can hit them notes like Freddie and Adam Lambert !!!

  • I like Paul Rodgers' voice and think he did a good job. Brian May just always looks like he loves performing and was enjoying himself, but I didn't see the electricity that was present during Adam Lambert's performance. Now That Was A Performance!

  • Anyone who things Paul sings better than Adam Lambert is deaf. IMO and their opinion is invalid.

  • @adamsbritbabe I totally agree...IF anyone could replace Freddie...it can ONLY be Adam Lambert!! WHO did Queen ask to front for them on the last awards show, in which was seen live world wide?? NOT Paul :)! They have wanted him since he sang with them on AI!! They knew what they heard..and it was as close to Freddie they could get!

  • @edywwjd Also wanted to add..Adam does bring his own special talent not just a Freddie clone. Ok don't kill me, but I like Adam better than Freddie..just saying, my opinion that's all.

  • Mark Martell would be a good replacedment for Freddy Mercury if you want a Freddy clone - why would you? They need to get a lead singer with their own sound and move forward.

  • If you like this type of voice (gruff) then he is okay, but his range isn't much. As for being a legend, maybe so for die hard rock fans. However, he doesn't have following like Freddy Mercury, Robert Plant, Steve Perry, and some others. I'd never heard of him until he started singing with Queen.

  • Хуйня на постном масле.

  • so. That was boring. Please call Adam, and fast. lol

  • i think paul has a fantastic voice and is an awesome singer but his interpretation of this song just doesn't work (at least for me). this song and a lot of other queen songs need a higher clearer voice and i think adam lambert fits the bill fantastically

  • Good voice but not that impressed --sorry. Still like Adam Lambert's version better.

  • Fuck , love the voice , better than adam lambert's version

  • You know what everyone here kissing Lamberts ass Paul Rodgers is a living fucking legend that at 62 can out sing almost all young singers. Not only is he an amazing singer but he also isnt out doing whatever he can to whore attention. Yes Lambert has a powerful voice but hitting the high notes every fucking time gets old. Paul Rodgers is a fantastic vocalist and musician, nuff said.

  • @TheHuMoCa This isn't the right type of song for Paul's range just like it wasn't right for Elton Jhon. People think all singers can sing all types of song. Only singers with a high range should sing Queen. Otherwise it just sounds silly. It isn't a competition either.

  • I like this version

  • How bad is that in comparison to Adam Lamberts EMA Performance last week?? Paul Rodgers didn't even sing they high notes is just rattling off the lyrics.Lambert is a rock god! :-)

  • Really bad !!!! Watch Adam Lambert performing it with Queen at the EMAS 2011, so much better than this, I'm sure you're going to think the same. OHH my God, really that's bad, a disrespect to the song.

  • Comment removed

  • At 3:15 there's a hiding man nex to the drums wtf

  • Freddy was the best of course. But since he died none got closer to a good sound than George Michael. His performance with Queen just reminded me of the great old Queen.

  • This really is a bit snoozeworthy LOL He cant really do these songs justice. But he gives it a good try. And did some twat in these comments really claim that this is better than Freddy's version. I seriously have to wonder at some people who wander around Youtube. I can see now why Brian and Roger are so thrilled with Adam Lambert's voice. I wish he'd tour with them - at least for a short tour. PLEASE.

  • After hearing Adam Lambert's version at the EMAs this is terrible. Paul is not singing he's just saying the lyrics. So sad Freddie would not like this.

  • ¿Porque no se limitara Queen a vivir de lo que ya consiguieron con freddie?

Nadie nunca llegara a emocionarme como el ¬¬

  • You call THIS singing??? He is speaking the song - this guy is NO kind of singer! Now I see why Brian May fell so in love with Adam Lambert's voice - now THAT's a voice, a beautifully trained voice with such gorgeous tone that many music forums rate him right up there with the older greats. Sorry, ADAM NAILED IT AND YOU COULD SEE THE JOY ON BRIAN's FACE WHILE THEY WERE PLAYING. Here, he's actually grimacing.

  • @genome38 HAHAHAHAHA!!! LMAO, adam lambert really? im not saying that he have a bad voice, but there's no one that can compares to Paul, actually he was one of the freddie favorite singers!

  • @genome38 paul rodgers by his own peers is considered on of the greatest singers ..you areobviously a critic of any replacement for freddie(by the way no one can replace mother mercucry) unless he is as queert(being kind) as you...

  • @genome38 Paul Rogers is a legend. He beat KISS out at he Moondance Jam out in Walker, MN this summer! He stays in shape, doesn't drink or do drugs. Been in Free, The Firm, Bad Company, got together with Queen and won an award there! Sorry man, your Mega wrong! Freddy Mercury and him were friends. You dog Paul, you dog Freddy... I can't even believe you would say that about Paul Rodgers man... Adam Lambert, never even heard of him or anybody I know and I know my ROCK! No offense...

  • @Dokkenfan88 That's probably because Adam Lambert was on American Idol.

  • @Dokkenfan88 Noone beats KISS

  • great voice , prefer his version to adam lamberts

  • Amazing song. Prefer Freddie's version thought. But he's a good singer :)

  • it”s ...excuse me....better then the old version!!!!...at last...no more fancy opera...it”s real good music...with a great singer!!!

  • @gutopterul Are you idiot?

  • 11 11 11 the show must go on?...

  • senti per me i queen devono finire di suonare dopo la morte di freddie mercury io dico STOP

  • There is a mistake, This is the video of The Show Must Go On, not Say It's Not True

  • Fred pra sempre ele sim é Unicooooo

    quem concorda dá Joinhaaaa

  • his parent was persia ( Iranian ). he is coooooool,

  • Chuck Norris is that you??? kkkkkkkkkkkk

  • 1237 people never heard about Freddy Mercury

  • in what country, city, or place was this performed in?

  • Chuck Norris is that you?

  • Paul Rogers originally from Bad Company and he wont be replacing Freddie...and he doing this just for the sake of Queen...I mean for the concerts...and he is considering one of the best and famous rock singer from UK...have been working with Free, Led Zep to name a few...his records are selling up to 90 millions around the world....

  • paul rogers...chuck norris????? BE CAREFUL FREDDIE HE MIGHT GET PAST YOUR FAME, but prbly not

  • At least he tried..

  • Но Фредди никто не заменит

  • Это великолепно

    This is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • It's almost like Paul was representing the hole in our hearts because he couldn't fill Mercury's shoes. That he voiced our own inner sorrow at the loss of Freddie...

Good job, even though you were not Freddie.

  • Which year is this?

  • I love Paul Rodgers singing with Queen because he is a great singer in his own right who has enough experience to make it his own and not just imitate Freddie (because no one else can be Freddie) while still paying homage and respect to Freddie Mercury.

  • wtf!!

  • I personally think that Paul got lose out in this situation by joining the tour with Queen, because he is a good singer but he finds it too difficult -as most people would- to reach Freddy's wide range . Don't you agree?

  • paul rodgers is gay

  • @TURKOS92 actually Freddie vas too. his partner was named Jim Hutton

  • @TURKOS92 get fucked you mother fuckin cunt

  • @TURKOS92 go suck his old dick you motherfcking dickface, eat my shit

  • nobody should even try to sing his songs :s

  • WE WANT MARC MARTEL TO SING WITH ROGER AND BRIAN

  • Why Paul sing the best Freddie´s songs? It isn´t good way for his "new" career.

  • i heard paul was chosen cos he was freddie's idol growing up...and to those who say paul rodgers is shit, ya'll are insane.. paul rodgers is a legend and his style of singing has opened doors for singers EVERYWHERE...have some respect...

  • paul rodgers will never be able to replace freddie mercury, but he made a very good work

  • Seriously?????????????? what is that....this paul was drunk or what???

Why the hell Roger and Brian chose him??? It will be much better if they singed all the songs, without this men......c'mom.

For me, like a fan for over a decade and a half...it's an insult this paul singing the songs from QUEEN.....!!!!!

  • Show must go on 'cause Chuck Norris from scene ordered that.

  • Paul Rodgers se debrouille pas mal, c'est un bon chanteur mais je pense que ce morceau ne devrait pas etre chanté, PERSONNE ne pourra jamais chanter ce titre aussi bien que Freddie ! Ce titre est a lui !

  • I give credit to Paul...I think he did this song pretty damn good....Granted, he had some pretty large shoes to fill. Paul is a great singer, and still is!

  • Paul was a bad pick, his voice may be good, but doesn't fit to Queen, even Elton's version is better.

I would like to hear Tom Chaplin's version, his voice fits really well for Queen, I hope he could tour with Roger & Brian in 2012

  • @Grillucho I don't think it's bad. I know Paul's stuff pretty well (Free, Bad Company, The Firm with Jimmy Page) and Paul is in great shape here a lot better than even in the 70's. Paul is more a blues rock singer than a mammoth rock star like Freddie was. In my opinion Paul's here even a bit better than Elton, but it's hard to tell really. Elton's version is pretty good as well. Freddie was better than both of them. Nobody can replace him he's irreplaceable.

  • @Grillucho He was Brian's and Roger's pick so how can that be "bad?"

  • @LocustIvy they went for the famous singer replacement, rather than a singer who can sing the songs in a similar key than Freddie's. It does not need to be the same sound, but at least similar, and without changing the intonation.

  • @Grillucho I don't think "famous" was part of the selection criteria. Also, if they had wanted a copy of Freddie they would have held auditions - like they are doing now. :)

  • i'am crying listen it, so simple , true, magic words.

Our life seems be same, but... show must go on

    R.I.P. Freddie

  • There are very few can that take on a Queen song and give us the edge that freddie gave us.. Paul Rodgers is one of the best male vocals out there.. My hats off to him... He does this justice.. He and the band members have kept the respect due & enabled us as fans to carry on & enjoy! you have to admire the passion and the talent! ... mind you the preformance kinda speaks for itself! :)

  • Yeah, not really fair to compare Rodgers and Mercury. Both great singers, both great stage presence...but different people. Main thing is he can fill the void very well, and the rest of the band seem to be very happy with his talent. I'm sure Mercury himself would look down from the rock n roll gates and be happy that the 'show is going on.'

  • I do not like the "mhhhhmhhhhmhhhmhmhhhmhh / empty spaces"...

  • No. Definitely Freddie. But Paul is also great. He is just... different type of singer. I like this version, but it´s Freddie and his voice, why I fell into love with this song. Also, Happy Birthday, Freddie.

  • Freddie Mercury Happy Birhtday Rest in Peace <3

  • H-B Freedie!!!!!

  • Happy Birthday Freddie.... cannot believe it is almost 20 years!

As far as Paul Rodgers goes, he is one of the most talented vocalists performing worldwide since the 70s... and yes, he still has it! Not Freddie Mercury, but he does a wonderful job in this tribute song.

  • if he ever had it, he must have lost it.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON OF GOD... :'(

  • Paul nailed this song!

  • Paul Rodgers is not good singer.

  • @volcanoneo Well, it's really only one persons opinion I guess. What's the matter....disappointed they couldn't get Justin Bieber??

  • Comment removed

  • @Foresaker937 Justin Bieber is not good singer too. He shouldn't have played under the name of Queen.

  • Paul Rodgers eats ass...George Michael sang way better when he played with them.

  • Freddie´s Immortal !!!

  • Freddie is never forget ......but Paul is Paul and he makes a very good Job !!!

  • I LIKE THIS A LOT BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. IT HAS MORE OOMPH NOW!

  • Paul Rodgers is good.

    He is a great singer.

    Better then you.

    Better then me.

He wants you all too enjoy Mr.Mercury's Music one last time

    I thank him for that.

  • @Mozilla345 I am gary mullen and think he stinks compared than me and he is not better singer than me

  • @Mozilla345 Than you*

  • Georges Michael : Somebody to love. The only one who can replace Sir Mercury in live. THE voice.

  • QUEEN witout freddie is nothing... QUEEN = FREDDIE... not that the others don't count but queen is with freddie's voice not with another!!!!!

  • Imagine Queen with Ronny James Dio in this song.

  • @slb1998 They should have done that. Sometimes, you want the dead back but it's over.

  • I love freedy but paul does a better job at this song

  • @XXLILHOTTIEXX u must be joking!! or you're high~

  • I love this version..

  • God...I Love Paul's voice..

  • paul rodgers ...the voice... 'nuff said

  • i think they should got elton john

  • It is a bit stupid to compare Mercury and Rodgers, because they are different singers... Anyway: Rodgers sings this very very well, in his own style, and really passionated. Sorry, but I think that those who doubt the capabilities of Paul Rodgers here are probably as deaf as a stone...

  • Paul Rodgers did it well! For sure, he can never do what Freddie did in this song, but it's a real good version of 'The show must go on".

  • I didn't give Rogers a chance against Mercury, but it turned out--The Paul Rogers show. Good Job, Dude. You're a brave man and you did it.

  • Comparisons with Freddie and Paul is always gonna be when Paul sings Queen songs.

Unfortunately Freddie never got to sing Free or Bad Company songs to compare who was beteer ??

so we have both singers good at what they did and there you have individual taste and performers.

In my "humble" opinion I think they are BOTH fantastic singers with awsome voices that have left a long lasting signature of what they can do.

Love them both for what they are.

  • The suckest live of "The show must go on", i even see... That, how to sing this song is a legend. No another styles by different singers...

  • why everybody compares rodgers to mercury? in my opinion they are completely different singers, a comparison is a really stupid thing. and also rodgers is an excellent singer.

  • I hate you Paul, seriously.

  • EXCELENTE VOZ, NO COMO SUSTITUTO DE FREDIE........PERO SI UN DIGNO REPRESENTANTE,FEELING MIS AMIGOS O COMO DECIMOS EN MEXICO...HUEVOS.. ESTE AMIGO TIENE EL FUUAAAAAAA!!!!! JAJAJAJA

  • Paul est vraiment bien ... Il chante ces chansons comme Paul et ne veut pas remplacer Freddie ... Freddie sera dans nos coeurs pour toujours ...

  • Paul is the KING....much much better than Freddy!!

  • Wow, this was fucking great

  • I think Paul is a very talented singer that does the song justice. No one compares to Freddie, but this is good in my oppinion :)

  • Seriously, I think its a given that whoever is going to sing a queen song will NEVER measure up to Freddie, but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't try and they are amazing songs. What do you think Freddie would want? For people to never hear his music again? Or to hear it sung my someone who is still a great singer? We all know no one will measure up to Freddie. I don't think the world will see another guy like Freddie Mercury.

  • FREDDIE!!!!!!! COME BACK!!!!!!!! :'( :'( :'(

  • amazing voice, Paul is almost as good as Freddie

  • Paul sings this song very well, and much better than Elton Jhon....but Freddie was Freddie

  • Paul hits the high notes with much more ease than Freddie. More power as well. Pauls range seems to never end.

  • @RMLtiger you know Paul sings this song a tone lower than Freddie.. He sings it from Am and Freddie from Bm.

  • I love it Paul doing this song think it's really good.

  • All this talk about who is "better" is bullshit. Of course, Queen songs aren't boing to sound "as good" as you remember them - because it was Freddie singing them. Put the shoe on the other foot. Let's say Freddie was alive - and he tried singing "Free," "Bad Company," "The Firm," and other Paul Rodgers solo songs. He wouldn't sound as good trying to do what Paul put a stamp on with his vocals. Bottom line. Two great vocalists - both Rock 'n' Roll treasures. So enjoy Rodgers while u can.

  • Why can't John Deacon perform as well anymore?

  • @hamiltonj195 - he hasn't snubbed Brian and Roger. He's just simply a happily retired beast of a bass playin' granddad.

  • @freakystyley4000 Ha lol thanks
