buying a base will honestly save your makeup. its worth the high price. the worst and cheapest of shadows are 10x better with a base

Well... You can use vasiline as a base... Just a sma e amount will do thwe trick... And if you use conceler that can used as a base also... In my opinion (I have used mac and drugstore make up) if you don't use a base mostly all eyeshadows will fade.

i don't think that claires eyeshadow is good for teens i think you should go with beauties factory manly palette because it does come with 120 colors and free brush set! claires is too expensive for me and my daughter we go with 120 colors from ebay and much more pigmented than what you get.

@death4496 Most teens dont have credit cards to order make up online thats why I believe these are good for them and I also think a lower pigmentation is more appropriate for younger girls to wear but thats just me. I also did a review on the 120 pallets.

u should try the 72 palette eyeshadow by icing

its fantabulous

all the colors are vibrant and it only costs 20 dollars

I love Claire's and Icing shadow! Try using Too Faced Shadow Insurance. It makes the colors stay on all day. I did a Mardi Gras mask using Icing shadow and SI, and it stayed on ALL DAY!

i have a bunch of claires palettes and they stay on at least 10 times better with an eyeshadow base. i use udpp.

Hey its from Icing and it was eighteen dollars. Im not sure if it would still be available it was quite awhile ago that I purchased it but they may have something close to it and all stores are different you just have to check. :)

hey! i actually work at Icing, and yes, we do have that pallette! we actually have a new pallette with more neutral colors.

and there should be a "book" out called Icing professional makeup book volume 1, go check that out!

I have the last palette you have - and I agree, it is amazing for $18! I use a base and they stay on great. Unfortunately your also right about the blending, but once you figure out a good technique with these you're okay. I actually think the white and light grey (top two farthest left colors) on it are the least pigmented, but that's just my opinion.

Now that I have used this pallet for a few months I totally agree with you. I pretty much have to add some visine drops to the white to even make it worth using but its still worth 18 for all the other colors. :)

When I first bought claires eyeshadow palette, you are right, it wears off throughout the day. But if you use a mac cream color base, it stays on for like ever!
