@rufiopan1 you're definitely right by dues, i guess they're just letting off steam. but as much as they embrace and pioneer electronica influences as they have done it's a bit lost without using some usual instruments in the mix as this version is better. i do think that releasing a single in the same vein of 'recent' sounds is like saying well we do it much better (but we'll do anyway). besides this band can do it better and will still be one of the most intelligent bands on the planet : )

I do wish they would use a little more proper instrumentation in their arrangements, but the more I listen to it, the more I get it, too. (makes sense as Thom is a self-proclaimed admirer of the late, great JB), but with less soul/RnB influence and more... well... more Thom. as a song writer myself, the simplicity of Thom's melodies blow my mind... And /agree at Thom's voice getting better. He was great back in the day but now he's pushing the envelope... and who can't love that?
