  • ouuh beautiful!

  • Could you tell me where you buy those molding letter ,please, you sent to me and comment about dora's stamp, i want to know if you can sell those letters too

  • hiya what wire did you use your cakes are stunning

  • @loudrums1 Thank you! The wires I get from cake decorating supply shops or on line. They can be uncovered or covered in white or green paper for flower sprays; )

  • this is so cute!! Do you know what kind of icings there are? i thought people mainly use lester dust, sugarveil & foundant, but i might b wrong here..

  • @ROBOBECCA I use Pettinence Icing (brand by Bakels) that's the only store bought one I use ; )

  • great job! that fondant looks like velvet!

  • it so pretty

  • Is the cake stand covered in fondant as well? the part with "Happy Birthday" written on it? Do you overlap the fondant below?

  • The cake board is covered in fondant too with the edges overlapping underneath. Check out my other video of my wiggles car cake construction & you can see quickly how I do a covered cake board in the middle of the clip; )

  • So nice!

  • I use store bought fondant - I've made it before but it's too unpredictable for me - especially with the weather we have here in Australia.

  • Wow, you are your worst crittic. This is a beautiful cake and the fondant appears very smooth. Beautiful.....

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks a lot.. I can't wait to get started now : ) I'm making a Christening cake for my cousin's baby.

I'm also doing the blocks like you did on your baby shower cake, hopefully they will turn out as nice!

  • Good luck with it all! Remember to take photos; )

  • Very lovely cake! Did you cut the hearts out from the fondant as well? I'm going to attempt them with a star cutter but wasn't too sure how to go about it!

Also, is the cake a sponge? Thanks : )

  • Yes the hearts are out of fondant as well. The stars would look great on wire as well. Just roll the fondant out to about 3mm thick, cut with star cutter & insert with a wire. The cake was a choc mud cake; )

  • Very cute cake. Looks almost too good to eat:)

  • :D that's amazing!

  • Thanks!

  • Looks great you've got good talent. Is the bottom layer the light pink a later of Fondant only? How did you get the circle perfect or did you just eye it? I'm making my first B-day cake this weekend with Fondant!

  • The last layer is a thick round cardboard cake board covered with fondant glued on with a little water. You can get them from cake decorating shops or cut out your own from thick cardboard - make sure it's thick enough to hold the weight of the cake. Good luck with the cake this weekend!

  • Beautiful !!!!!

  • Thank you!

  • love how smooth the cake turned out-- cannot believe this is only your third... i agree with criscakes, cause i got the dvd upon her recommendation and although i am still on the first dvd... i have learned a lot and have applied changes in the techniques im used to. looking forward to seeing more :)

  • You must have done many cakes before!? Yeah, because this looks so clean and s fun. I like the colours, okey, I should be honest..I Love them. Yeah, and the hearts on top looks so cute too. You should be very, very happy by this cake. It does not looks as your 3rd fondant cake... It looks like you have done fondant cakes before, and maby all the kinds of fondant cakes? How knows..
