  • I wonder if you threw a cup of wee into the air if it would turn into snow wee, and would the wee flakes be yellow?

  • It's only disappointing if you compare yourself to other parents. Other guys look at you Robert and think "bloody hell, why didn't I do something great with my life instead of working in the doldrums day in day out". No-one's perfect, but if we're having fun and no-one's getting hurt, than I'd say we all did pretty bloody good in the end.

  • that is sound words but i have always thought that it a sad thing when people lose their child like qualities when they grow up, i do understand however that you must be responsible and take account for the development of your children, but if you dont act like a child then wheres the spark of life. I personally would love to live my life though the eyes of a child again!

  • Yes we are. Boys need to grow up. We have to deal with things so much worse than guys. Yet we still put up with you men. I never will =]

  • waffling like a twat IS a great sign of maturity (well senility anyway) ;)

  • I'm 41 and a woman and I will be the first to confess that I am not perfect. :-) I do hope that we as loving parents try to do the very best job that we can for our children. Even though we all make mistakes it's important to remember that we probably also bring an impressive set of strengths to the job. Things don't always turn our perfectly for any number of reasons but the bottom line is all we can strive to do is our best at any given moment. Thank you for this video.

  • Lol, crispy bogies. So mature.

  • I can't believe you're that old (young!)! When & where is the party, and who's invited?! ;-)

There was a similar pile of snow in the carpark of my local Tesco a few weeks ago.

    Hope you've thawed out now,

    Dave

  • Thanks for the advice Rob, I'm 30 and yes i do sulk and get angry when my child misbehaves to. I must grow up lol

  • Great video as usual, maybe you could tell me dad at 55 that he also needs to grow up!! Or you could just start arguments on twitter again ;)

  • beautiful place :)

  • Life is a constant journey of getting more emotionally mature, every now and then I think back to myself 5 years ago and think "omg, I was like that?". If you only just realised that at 53 Rob i'd say you've just hit 25 :P

  • A pedant writes:

It isn't frozen bogies, it's the moisture in your breath freezing onto the hairs that line your nostrils, eventually clogging them up. This happens in walk-in industrial freezers as well as Norway ;)

  • 1" of snow here and we are all rubber ducked

    2" and it's a national emergency.

Put it down to the lefty, lentil eating, tree hugging, health and safety Nazi's who make the lives of construction workers a fkin nightmare every day of their fkin lives!

But, hey ho, it's only me, a construction worker

  • wow cool, could you please reply to this comment? i tryed to leave a comment on your website llewtube but i got a computer error :(, im a big red dwarf fan :),

if you in-person replyed to this comment i would be so happy :), my real name is Sam Shields :)

  • The dad of one of my friends regularly went through temper tantrums all throughout his middle and high school years. It's not just a male thing though. My sister does the same thing and I probably have a few times myself. We all need to grow up.

  • Thank you Robert for reminding me why it's worth growing up early in life. All the best to you and your family.

  • Great report BoB LL!

  • That bit when you talk about realising your mistakes too late in life. Not to put too fine a point on it but i empathise with you there, oh yes!

  • I saw that Rally report you did on Dave Channel early Sat morning.

How did the Driving Lesson on ice go! :D

  • I was 39 on the day you filmed this, and I don't wanna grow up!

  • Well you know what they say "Its better to be over the hill than buried underneath it".

  • Robert, please do a video with Spare Heads 1, 2, & 3 - espcially Spare Head 3! :)

  • He doesn't need no bugger to look after him! =P

  • Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional !! :o)

  • haha^^ funny video.

    Sluptihub vatuhub... youtube?

  • 53!! I had no idea. I thought you were mid forties, ish.

  • hey, it says the video's no longer available. what's the deal?

  • It's working for me. Dunno?

  • Sometimes it does that, you should be able to just refresh it and it will work.

  • That's a common bug on youtube lunbard. Just refresh the page a couple of times and it will show.

  • a Qi special where Lister, rimmer, the cat and cryton are the panel! :D Would be fucking awesome xD

with quest-host alan davis sitting next to stephan fry of course :P

  • Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. I'm only 21 though so maybe it's too early to get into theories about that...

  • im 17..at least i know im in for depression O_O

  • I've never been the biggest fan of The Little Rouge One, but I thoroughly enjoy each and every one of your videos.

Keep pissing in the snow, Bob!

  • I couldn't agree more with you, 35 and I ain't grown up one iota, and you are sooo right. Men do take a lot longer to mature!

Always love the vids Rob. Cannot wait to see the vid about the live RD either.. :)

  • just watched you on WRC on dave lol nice driving on snow !! ^_^

  • lol frozen bogies..haha that tickled me XD

  • your turning 53...in few weeks...i turn 20 2moro :)...u dont look 53 rob...funny vid :)

  • I wanna see that WRC coverage - someone please up it :)

  • wow...77,000 downloads...that's great.

think of it this way...that means you're getting over 9 times the amount of viewers that Richard and Judy get for their show on Watch.

  • You could mentor me! 32 years old with 2 kids and a wife... any words of wisdom on how to grow up and handle this life stage are very welcome!

  • Mistakes, well thats life. The damn thing doesnt come with a manual or an online guide :P

    Wish someone would write it...

  • I've been to Hamar!

Just north of Oslo...When I went about this time last year most of the snow had started melting and was very icy...

  • I would seriously have never have guessed you were 53, not bad for a 53-year-old. 53 comments on this video at the moment, creepy. O.o.

  • Farenheit or Celcious?

  • Ha squelch sounds of boots in the snow. Lovely scenery there, looks so fresh & clean! :)

  • Have you told your kids how sorry you are that you were not quite prepared to be a parent, for all you mistakes but how greatful you are for having them in your life? Now might be a good time. By the way your eyes look amazing in the Krytie head. Your face looks really smooth as well. Is the rubber head like an anti wrinkle cream or what?

  • Come on all parents think they haven't been as good as they could have been. It's the most normal thing on earth, and it's part of growing up as a child to realise your parents aren't perfect, too. Bobby isn't a bad dad, and one day his kids will let him know this, even if not in those words.

  • I saw you on WRC today!

  • It would be great to see you toss up a cup of hot water into the air and have it fall as snow, because that doesn't happen.

  • HA!!! When your face is that cold you look like Kryton! Look about 1:35!!

  • I wive in doodoobewy lol ( where dawin was bord ).

  • Totally cool, if you forgive the pun:)

  • i live in shrewsbury lol ( where dawin was bord!)

  • He wasn't bored.

  • Awesome.

I went to see Darwin and the NHM, and just recently to Downe House to see where he wrote his stuff. Was very cool.

    Welcome back to the UK.

  • i love the sign off, very Kryten-esque. it somehow makes sense and doesn't make sense at the same time :)

  • well done bobby. as a young man, I very much appreciate your heartfelt advice

  • Why did Howard keep changing the Kryten Mask?

I thought it was perfect in series 5 but then they kept on changing it making it look more rubber and such.

Btw i saw on imdb that there will be a new series/movie called Red Dwarf: Back to earth?

  • Just three special episodes for Dave, to be broadcast in March. Do a google search for the forthcoming BBC4 series "Obsessions" and you'll get a bit of information about the larger project that explains why it was commissioned.

  • where have u been? we all know that there will be new red dwarf. a special 2 part episode on dave over easter called Red Dwarf Back To Earth how can u not know that

  • 3 part, actually :p

  • 2 part the one ep is a behind the scenes and the other is a live show

  • That was the original plan... the live show has been replaced by a third part now

  • I love the sound of walking in the snow - and it's constant in this video. I fucking love snow, I'm soo jealous of you Rob!!!

  • lol, nice vid, here in burlington, ontario canada it gets to about -30, so i am no stranger to frozen boogers!

  • pwn belgium with more red dwarf!!!! looking forward to it!!

  • Good stuff :) catch you on Twitter -Wandii

  • I hope I'm as grown up as you when I'm your age. Only 25 years to go for me... Something for me to look forward to :)

Always fun videos. Thanks for sharing

  • "Youtube?"

    LOL brilliant :)))

  • Creationist!?!?

    Preposterous!

We all know that the world is made of sillicon don't we.

For is it not written in the Electronic Bible, "The Iron shall lie down with the Lamp" :p

Sorry Robert couldn't resist slipping in a Dwarf quote in there. :D

  • im not a frying pantheist.. lmao

  • Stay clear of the yellow snow !

  • You seem like a very nice man =]

You're also very interesting to follow on Twitter.

  • Keep up the amazing work, always love watching ya - take care mate.

  • Some interesting comments regarding growing up there... I'm 30 this year and I seem to find myself sulking at the stupidest things. Currently doing my level best to stop it and calm down.

  • Comment removed

  • interesting that you talk about maturity whilst walking about in snow - I find that the moment I see snow, I descend into some bizaar excitable kid mode. It's prolly because I'm British and this year was the most snow that I've ever seen in my adult life! Sadly I also know it's a piffling amount of snow, so I was hoping for more that never came :(

  • 53?! You must be kidding.

  • you never really got on to your topic re women...

  • lol, who want's to grow up?? Things are much more interesting as a child :P

Great work with car pool so far, it's an excellent idea. I particularly loved the one where you were driving the tesla, it would be great if you could get them to sponsor the show and have you drive it for all episodes :)

    Jayen

  • Ohh, hello, evolution doesn't exist. Eeer, well how did we get here? Wait, are you a creationist? I've never actually met one before.

  • Yes I'm a "creationist"

  • I'm actually surprised, Robert that you've never met a "creationist"

    I'm a Christian, myself

  • I don't think all christians are creationalist

  • most ones are

  • You do know that the meaning of the word 'theory' when talking about science is not the same a the words usual /most often meaning right?

  • Comment removed

  • "what you THINK is"

In science, a theory is a unifying principle that explains a body of facts and the laws based on them.

  • basicaly a scientific Theory is the explanation of facts... not a kind of hunch like we usualy associate with the word THEORY..

  • Actually it is. Theory being something we think may be correct, but by all means is not at all proven. Our history is littered with scientific theory that has been proven incorrect, but in it's time was believed to be "fact". Flat planet, centre of the universe etc... It's good peple believe in different things or we would stagnate.

  • "it is clearly fiction"

You know what is clearly fiction?... never mind I don't want to make a religiotard cry....

  • Comment removed

  • Religious zealots don't like debate, they just like to complain and show their ignorance... let them hammer the nails into their own intellectual coffin.

  • yeah your right.. iv seen enough of these fools on here. But its still frustrating.

  • always worth awatch

  • God, I miss the sound of crispy, crackling snow under my feet. Don't get much of that here in Edinburgh. Got ice on the canal though, so that was good.

  • Cant wait for red dwarf....

  • Enjoying the vids very much Rob, keep em coming!
