watching this movie was like watching phantom menace for the first time, I was in chock at how crappy it was and it did not take long before I realised the whole movie was pocahontas in 3d with blue shit and a save the planet message...
And I can't help but laugh at those who disparage a movie cause they know the hero will fall in love and defeat the enemy. These same people probably line up to see the never-ending stream of remakes and sequels. Not to mention the endless superhero movies we get each year that mostly play out the exact same way time after time.
All this review made me want to do is watch Avatar again. I'd forgotten how stunning it is...predictable or not, there's not a movie out there that looks remotely like it. And hey, after all this is a visual medium.
I guessed the ending of the film before I even went in, and got the ending spot-on. How more cliche could this movie have gotten. Come on James Cameron, you could've done better.

IT's just an old film based on Vietnam era politics and environmentalists stuff. Then they throw in a couple lines about 'Terrorism' and 'Shock and awe' and I'm supposed to think of how bad the invasion of Iraq was so supposed to be. I'm sure they hated making movies about it. The movie had some jaw-dropping gorgeous visuals. As a Disney movie with war and bloodshed, it does well. My mom LOVED IT. The humans DID fight in a slightly idiotic manner. Then they throw in a couple lines about 'Terrorism' and 'Shock and awe' and I'm supposed to think of how bad the invasion of Iraq was so supposed to be. I'm sure they hated making movies about it. The movie had some jaw-dropping gorgeous visuals. As a Disney movie with war and bloodshed, it does well. My mom LOVED IT. The humans DID fight in a slightly idiotic manner.
