@chrisolava112066 Because the software that they use to give mileage for trips automatically take off miles at each end of the trip. (Unless the company pays hub miles)
For instance, say you run Atlanta to St. Louis. Atlanta may be 30 miles across and so is Saint Louis ( i am just guessing, you get the point) If you leave from the east side of Atlanta and go to the West side of St Louis, that is a good 40 miles or so taken off of your trip.
@kurumako yes, you can. Push ups, sit ups, running, aerobics, dancing to the radio in your cab even. It's ways to get exercise man. You don't have to have a gym.
I DRIVE A TRUCK LOCALLY IM A IMMIGRANT AND I GROSS 2,400$ A WEEK BEING HOME EVRY DAY I LAUGH WHEN I SEE THESE AMERICAN IDIOTS THAT GROSS 800$ A WEEK OTR COMPANY DRIVERS, I HATE AMERICA IS SOO STUPID I HAVE VIDEOS THAT MY DOGS EAT BETTER THAN AMERICANS
Its true that you make more $ for over the road then local but 1st of all it shouldnt be about the $ it should be about the job that you like, but if you have a family that will tarnish your family with the absent of you, dude be talking some real shit
I tested a paperless log system for my company and found that I actually gained anywhere from 20-40 minutes to drive each day, depending on how long I ran. That was because instead of logging in 15 minute increments, the electronic log worked minute to minute. It actually bought me a little more time. We didn't go with the system which is good. I don't need a babysitter in the truck, I'm a grown man and a responsible person. I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself legal.
I don't understand why people say "cut the drivers out of the miles" when you talk about doing a logbook LEGALLY. They should not have been getting those miles anyways, if they would have followed the laws like they were suppose to. I have a hard time showing sympathy for those who don't follow the rules, thus making them unsafe. It's always about safety
I understand what your saying though. Priorities always change, and if the money isn't worth the risk to go OTR, then don't!!! 5 stars.
@mr polish. .i agree and dis agree. Local is more money. But dont diss my country. . Dont like it hear then leave

Why or how will you loose miles at the end of the week? Is it that you think the company will not be honest of the actual milage?
