If chinese headlights and electrics makes my bike $19,500 MSRP instead of 22,000 MSRP I'm ok with it. I don't care if my headlight is made in America. Just like I don't have to have an American made guitar chord to plug my American Gibson guitar into an American Fender Amp. Labor is too expensive here. Japan and China make some of the best stuff in the world. The Chinese make shoes that people shoot each other over, Makita, Ipads, computers probably work for $2 a day.
Nice ride mate. I have an 08 FLHT,I bought it new in Aug 31, 07, my 17th bike and 3rd new Harley, I love it to death, ya can't beat an FLH, it's a better tourer than any of my BMW's or Guzzis that I've owned.
Harleys are built big and heavy for a reason. It's American made! Owners didn't buy one because they get the best gas mileage or horsepower to weight ratio. They buy on because it's American made. It's a statement that goes deep within the Harley nation. I understand, just don't buy it myself. I've owned 3 bikes and ridden many more, by far the best all around experience goes to Japan. Sorry Harley. If I could afford you I would own one and put you on display, just not ride.
hey dude, I"m not hating on you but thats not any where near fast. mabey a good running HD but 0-110 in 15 seconds is a turd! 0-120 in 5,98 seconds is fast. busa fast! HD"s are fine for cruzzing or hanging out at bike night, but fast is not a word that works for HD.
A hayabusa is a turd, shitty example, and for the most part hasn't changed since 99. The new gixxer has 190bhp with way less weight. The new gixxer is 16,000$ though. I'd rather spend a little more and buy a bike that won't be considered "high mileage" as soon as it rolls past a measly 12,000 miles. Longevity is not a word that works for Japanese sport bikes.
No they won't, but there is a reason why, a japanese sportbike is so wound up to get every ounce of power out of them that they have short life expectancies. This is why a 600cc bike which is only about 35 cubic inches can take off like a bat out of hell. Yes you do have the performance damn near a blackhawk helicopter but it's at a price. Harleys go way past 100k miles. You will never see a jap sport bike with 100k.
A jap, cruiser v-twin would last as long as a HD. But I don't think the sport bikes go that high. It's not unreasonable... the power to weight ratio is astronomical @ around 500lb a 2012 gsxr puts out around .38 hp per lb. So in a 3500lb car you would need 1330hp. The 1300hp car, like nascar, would not last long I think they go through high turnover rates on motors.
I have better thing to do but sit in front of a computor and talk crap bout other people I am gonna go out and ride I sudjest you to the same! ahh ba bye! Hope to run into you on the road some day give ya real good spanking and shut your mouth kid!
Oh and I realy dont care if i mis spell its all from a iphone and dont realy care if your inpressed with my writing skills i ALSO dont care what you think of me or my bikes! So go f@#k yourself! And have a nice day SQUID!
motormanish seen your chanel and yes you do? just a little note buying a sport bike doesnt mean you know how to ride! By the way if ya twist that throtle itll go faster! LMAO!!!! Now go away!
Hey motormanish ! you have officially just become a total douchbag! To sit here talking crap about someone you dont know means you just have no life and nothing better to do so !!! go put on all your gear and get on you 9000$ bike and take some rideing leasons! And for not being educated well for that I simply say go f*(*& yourself ! and manish is right! lol!
@1bugsyspringer I don't need riding lessons. You need spelling lessons. FYI: The dollar sign goes before the numbers and you spelled riding and lessons wrong and you should have been your. You are quite entertaining.
@1bugsyspringer If you can't spell correctly you appear to be uneducated. If you are unable to spell simple words like HAVING or RACING, you are uneducated.
I'll bet you have the same riding skills as spelling skills. lol
I would bet my motorcycles that I would make you look foolish on two wheels. I have over 35 years experience on two wheels as well and I can spell too.
Hey motor mannish just o ya know I go fast in canyons as well and definitely hold my own ANYWARE! And on any bike ! I have chased many sport bikes threw canyons and left them guessing ! Any way enough said! And as far as big balls I carry mine in a wheel barrel ! Oh and another note dragging your knee threw a turn on city roads is just wrong!

@motormanish Your bike is probably about as comfortable as a pile of rocks for long rides and doesn't have cruise control or a radio.....

@motormanish I don't care about a radio or cruise control. I ride a fast bike because I love to hammer around corners.
It is a 2006 with over 73,000 miles on it. I ride it on long trips and I never complain about it being uncomfortable because I am in shape.
Anybody can go fast in a straight line. It takes big balls to drag your knee through a turn.
