  • The Les Paul and Mary Ford version of the ODJB's classic "Tiger Rag" reached no. 2 on the Billboard charts and no. 8 on Cash Box. The song was written in 1917 by Nick LaRocca of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band. The Mills Brothers had a monster no. 1 hit with the song in the early 1930s when lyrics were added to the tune.

  • "Tiger Rag" was composed by Nick LaRocca and recorded by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band in 1917, one of the very first jazz bands. "Tiger Rag" is one of the most recorded jazz records of all time, with everyone from Louis Armstrong to Duke Ellington recording the song. Les Paul and Mary Ford had a hit with the song in 1952.
