I hear you about David , but David is cherished for more his NCAA career at NC state where as a 6-2 ,(some say 6-4) he dunked on countless players and literally carried NC State to good things. Thompson was AI before AI. A little big man who could do things in the air, had a very good mid-range shot too. Thompson's 360 dunk in the 76 ABA contest remains state of the art funky fresh.

Certainly not, Consistency is what makes Michael Jordan the much better player than Kobe. Michael Jordan lead the NBA 10 times in scoring. Jordan was so much more the complete player: offense/defense/ and especially in his ability to elevate everone else's game, and certainly in his will to win. Doc was not "the man" on the Sixers - an integral part of scoring, but left the playmkaing up to Cheeks, Jones and Collins. But Jordan is not my all time sports hero and idol. And Jordan never made my jaw drop like The Doc did. The Doc will always be my hero. I will always stand in awe of him.
