It's the main theme from Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King from his Peer Gynt Suite. I think the other violinist is playing Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee from Act 3 of his Legend of the Tsar Saltan, but its kind of hard to tell on his electric violin.
just to expand on my own comment.. from the opera turandot.. usually heard avec chanson, and definitely one of the most beautiful pieces of music out there
The way they made the music morph in too each other was brilliant. They are really gifted musicians. To bad they playd on electronic srting instruments. In my opinion, they have a much flater sound then conventional string instruments have.
this is the stupidest fucking thing in the world. not only are the pieces nowhere near chronological (you think you could at least put beethovens 9th after his 5th, and why play Wagner after the Beatles?), but there is a sudden shift from 'classical' to popular music, and 20th century 'classical' is bypassed altogether.
On top of that, that fat bald guy is hella ugly. And no, the hot cellist does not make up for it.
It's Beautiful music. The order of the songs doesn't bother me, because i LOVE music in general. Just listen to the melodies, the armonies...it's just perfect.
But if you want to say "It's a fucking shit" or someting like that, you're free to do it.
I had the honor of seeing these guys in Las Vegas Friday night and they were AMAZING! Please return soon! I was also lucky enough to have been chosen to go up on stage and "perform" with them during their rendition of BOLERO. VERY FUNNY GUYS!
