to be honest the dunlop one is average at best. it is hissy and makes this weird thumping noise. havent tried any others but i'm getting a kr megavibe soon. they sound the best to me.

it's a 1968 reissue made in japan. they're really nicley made instruments all the jap ones, but they are a bit hard to get coz they are not availible for export. they come with texas specials but i changed them to fender custom shop 69 pups.

I agree that it is noisy especially with the single coils. I pulled back the gain/volume about 10% so that it was subtle. Have you checked out the software called Amplitube Jimi Hendrix by IK multimedia? I still think tube amps are where it's at for live jams, but this computer stuff is getting closer and nice to record with.
