  • Hey! can you move it manually?

  • PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP))))

  • Sweet mate! Question..Im getting bintels eq6 pro on a 200mm Newtonian...at the moment saving for a ccd...is general viewing any good through this setup or is it a pain.

  • @fordpwrXR8

I do not know about ease of general viewing as I mostly do CCD. I have found that the GoTo on this works quite good.

I replaced the 150mm Newton about a year ago with a 250mm Orion(UK) f4.8 Newton, that is a light build: 10kg. The mount handles it well.

  • @Hekke74 Ok cool..250mm would be nice improvement :) cheers and good luck with your astrophotography!

  • listening to your EQ6 is loose gear that mates with a stepper motor in RA and DEC. you produce the sound of gears beginning and end of movements ..

    Ric

  • @riccardocosenza

    Correct.

I have made it better by adjusting backlash and by adding a rubber washer on the transfer gear axle.

  • wow what a piece of kit!

  • é o telescopio do meu sonho

  • hi

    can anyone helpe out?

i do have a telescope (15 years old) was pretty expensive that time (1000,- euro) and i can even see the saturn like half a cm big...

now im up to get a bigger one like on this vid...

am i able to see the saturn any bigger?

the dude form the shop told me that it doesnt matter how bit the scope is... it wount get any bigger!

but that doesnt make any sense to me!

    can anyone help me out?

    thx!!!!

  • The magnification depends on the focal length of your telescope and the eyepiece. When your telescope has a focal length of 1000mm and your eyepiece is 20 you get a magnification of 1000 / 20 = 50.

You have to divide the focal length of the telescope with the focal length of the eyepiece.

When you want to get higher magnifications you can either get a telescope with a longer focal distance or get an eyepiece with a smaller focal distance.

  • @intraxz This gives you your magnification. The way to make saturn apear bigger will be to purchase smaller focal length eyepieces which also take away eye relief or to buy a barlow lense which can do anything from double to 5x ur mag

  • @bepochi you will never see anything close to hubble through a telescope in your life. The aperature does not affect how big you see saturn. The aperature decides how much detail you will see in the image. To find magnification u take the focal length in mm from our telescope and divide it by ur eyepiece's focal length.

  • nasa shld bring this to d moon an aim it towards earth. Then record it. Would luvvvv to see earth through a telescope from another planet!!! LOL

  • i just bought a eq6 pro synscan mount, and i dont understand how im supposed to link it to my laptop, and what program to use. can anyone help me out? the manual wasnt very helpful...

  • @kalldin I know your comment is over a year old but I've been using a program called Stellariumscope quite successfully.

  • The mount has good potential, but from what I'm reading, it really needs to be dismantled, cleaned, and then re-greased with Lithium grease. There's several websites on how to do this, if you want, I can post a link.

    Dave

  • post a link to these upgrades. also where can you buy accesories to make the mount better?

  • Good Mount for this Price.

And to Hekke74 my Mount is also noise.

And your video is good, more so video for eq6 in youtube. thats was very good.

  • The start/stop noise is a bit rough. However, when using it outside it does not sound that bad. At least neighbours are not complaining ;)

I think that the echo of the room and the video camera's automatic audio gain control has exaggerated the noise.

  • nice price. $1600 lol Looks great for astrophotography, though. It doesn't get anymore sturdy than that. Won't have to worry about elongated stars, shaky stars in photos from that.

  • what is the godawful noise it makes when starting / ending a motion? are your motor housing bolts too tight? how is the balance?

  • Absolutely beautiful mount! Nice setup to boot, you're going to have years of pleasure with this.. do post a video in the future of any astro photos you've taken.. would love to see them. I too was surprised by the noise it makes, I was told it was very quiet, although in comparison to the Celestron's, maybe it is! I'm going to geto a HEQ5 Pro, a EQ6 was out of my budget.. but it was great to see your video.. Thank you.

  • Beautiful mount, but a bit noisy at times so it seems.

  • I'm product shopping and glad to see this in action!
