I knew as much as they needed a mother, they needed a positive male role model upon whom they could set a standard when dating men. You're right his parents did move to Mexico and I'm not sure but if Romney was born in Mexico then he is not qualified to be president. So if Romney's parents dropped their citizenship then Romney doesn't qualify to be president because he parents chose not to be citizens.

@armyjams The news reporter is right on! Obama IS a positive example for young blacks to look up to. Even though West is right about black fathers needing to be in the home, be role models...that was not the question he was asked. He brought up fathers simply to deflect Obama getting any credit for success. As for you, you're an asshole. What does Obama's father have to do with anything? Obama HIMSELF is a great father to his children. That's what counts. You're just a hater.

I am not a Obama fan but i was thinking we shoild all thank him if you are African American or another minority, because the republican party would have never accomplished breaking this glass ceiling.It had to be a democrat. But now that the ceiling has been broken it is not far fetched to see Herman cain as our next president. Or even Allen West in 2016

@Truth77Absolute Why would it have been impossible for the republicans to "break the ceiling?" The percentage of black republicans is incredibly low when you compare it to black democrats. Your comment hints that this is a racist party which, as you can see from Cain and West's popularity, isn't true. It's been a lack of strong enough black candidates who were willing to go after the Office.

@falcon007 , The point that I was trying to make is that the a black democrat was destined to win the presidency than a black republican. The reason is because obviously black dems have been brainwashed to believe that repubs is a racist party. So they have a mistrust. But seeing a black president regardless of party makes seeing a black repub such as Herman Cain not as impossible as is seemed not too long ago. Thats all.

I am an American. That is what Americans do whether you disagree or agree with politics. The people who voted for Obama may be more to blame than Obama, We put him there.
