No one challenged his stamina better than Haile did some 8 years ago in the 10,000 world meet. The three pair including Sihin run one of the most incredible 10K in history. The three were together until the final lap, Haile led them for some 10 incredible rounds that dropped everyone else. At the last lap, Sihin was dropped early, Bekele took off from 2nd position at the bend and took gold. Bekele cannot be beat via challenging his stamina. You will lose.

I'm pretty sure it's because he never looks like the pace is hard for him to keep. he just stays with the pack and kicks hard at the end, safe way to win, but you wont get as fast of a time.
