As for having sex, your always safest when using condoms and/or other forms of protection but obviously you can't have a baby wearing condoms... Well you can, they aren't a total 100% afterall, but your chances are practically nil. That said, if you look at a guy's stuff and it doesn't look right to you, as in he has sores or rashes or anything weird, then don't let him near you with it, condom or not. The key is, be smart.

There are all kinds of STDs that you can't just see. Herpes is one. Unless the person is having an outbreak right then, you can't even see that they have it and while the chances are less, you can still contract herpes when your partner is not having an outbreak. Also there's HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and a bunch others.
