  • I did not know that this song was about fisher-men. O.o It sound so fuckin' heavy, and to think about fishing?! Mind blowing it really is.

  • @TheMFMoon It's not exactly about fishing, it's about how people treat each other like animals in war, i.e. each does it their own way, one throws their spear into another man the other throws it at fish.

  • ich leibe rammstein!

  • This is Badass Slow Motion Walking music!

  • MusicDj167 you know you are fucking awesome right???THANK YOU!

  • reise-trip or travel

  • @carlosandleon In this song though, it's reverted to it's original, 1943 meaning - Rise.

  • I love this song... Only bad thing is that I'm American, so I never really appreciate the macabre in songs like this one until I look at accurate German-->English translations... xD;

  • greetings from nirubu

  • everytime i go thru Rammstein songs i always find a better one

  • @TheHeretic337 I know i love that fact

  • This song makes me wanna do Spear Fishing lol

  • OH CRAP. did not know the video did not attach...ok, there is SONNE and DU HAST emotionally rendered on RisePatriot. Part of my War Effort against a Giant Bank. My WarSite is 3w,com (osunrise) it is REAL. My LSD/Rammstein/Jesus church 3w,com( JesusOSunrise) is backed up by Justice System 3w, com: DoggieMcStyleLAW ..... War by RAND, got my own govvy and church, how can i lose?

  • Here in USA, Rammstein seems to be offensive to a lot of folks, particularly women! Of course... if you are a woman and reading this then YOU are OK, Women, PLEASE LET ME KNOW what you think, us men always screw up so I probably did. tHANK YOU! If you are the softer side of the Gay Na.z.i Ernst Rohm / Lanz Von Lieberfels Brownstripe Brigade Duet or Triad...enjoy it but do not let me know.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this! Very helpful, it looks nice and this song is great! :) I feel like a dick listening to German music and not knowing what it is saying because I only speak English.

  • @eepetius Dont feel too bad, the majority of rammsteins fans dont understand the lyrics. Till knows, and i get the feeling he's not upset.

  • @Rmag37 Phew!

  • Love it!

  • this is a music video, not a political debate! stfu everyone!

  • he compares fish with a man :D my favorite is ich will,and i like sonne,engel,nibel...etc :)

  • Just saying, "das Meer" isn't the ocean. It's the lake. The ocean is "die Ozean".

  • @FireLancet das Meer could mean "the sea."

  • Hmm, I'm about 1/8 German, 1/6 Polish, 1/4 British, and tiny bit Ecuadorean, and the rest is American.

    Rammstein=one of my favorite bands.

  • @FiringAx989 my head hurts ;/

  • @boxerek123

Well mine does to after trying to type all that XD

  • Finally, a video that doesn't play Adolf Hitler or Wehrmacht footage >.>

  • My dad's mother's mother's parents were from southern Germany and the German-Speaking part of Switzerland.

My dad's father's father and possibly his parents were from Norway.

My mother is from Indonesia and centuries back I have Chinese ancestors.

  • << american as hell...but a big Rammstein fan. Perhaps I'm mistaken here, but stabbing one's lance into a man, or into a "fish?" This song is promoting the right to choose your sexual preference, right?

  • 6.125% German here... :P (grand father of my grand father is 100% German.. :))

  • @DrKillaser What else are you?

  • @DrKillaser Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Britain, Italy, Germany, Arab.. (yet more to be discovered... even though i have Arabic blood too... people usually think that I'm from western Europe or US... and for some reason, to Arabs I refer as "them" and for Europeans (and especially, my strongest belonging feeling, Russia).. i refer as "us")

why do i think/feel that you were sarcastic?

  • GREAT SONG!

  • Full blood german right here and i'm damn proud of it :)

  • i am 75% german and damn well proud and i respect my heritage

  • when i listen to this i want to take a spear and go into a boat and row of into sea and pierce moby dick through the fucking chest!!!

  • Bluten Leise In Das Meer...

  • Rammstein and Oomph are my favorite bands.

  • i.play.minecraft.with.this.song.in.back

  • I like it... LOTS! It reminds me of The old man and the sea by Hemingway.

  • I.loooooooveeeeeeeeeeeeee,RAMMSTEIN:and.very.this.song.

  • this song makes me think of Naval Warfare :D

  • thumbs up if

  • can someone tell me of some more songs like this, like their more chill ones

  • @w4rr3np34c3 depends on what you mean by chill, i feel that rammstein, by rammstein is a chill song

  • @w4rr3np34c3 Seemann

  • The way that they are using "Reise" in this song is the same way it was used by German sailors in WW2. As in "Arise! Arise!", not "Travel! Travel!" The sailors would shout it out to wake each other up when they needed to get to battle stations.

I personally believe the song has something to do with PTSD.

  • I think of this song whenever I translate the Aeneid, specifically the parts of the Aeneid that include Neptune and fighting....haha =)

  • "meer" means sea, not ocean, and "see" means lake

  • @IuliaReitu aber seeman ist nicht männer aus see

  • @MrWhiskeylover666 i know but it isn't me the one who wrote those lyrics. what can i do? was kann ich machen?

  • @cezar40

  • I'm guessing this video means; "An eye for an eye."?

  • @stickfighter254 Song* I mean.

  • The chorus is awesome

  • Reise Reise Seeman Reise !! Love From Turkey ;)

  • Um i thought "Reise" was travel ?!

  • Not "Rise"

  • @comradeinjun

Reise as a noun means "travel". Both as nouns.

But in this song, "reise" is used a a verb. So it translates to "Arise"

  • @xBlueWinter damn nerd xD nice song :) isn't it?

  • @cfc434

One of my favs, indeed. And I take that nerd part as a compliment.

I have done my rammstein homework! *victorysign*

  • Vi elsker Rammstein!!!! Vi elsker deg så mye! Fra Norge <3

  • Play Call of the dead to this XD

  • Now tht i rea the Lyrics, its a Legit Pirate Music

  • I'd heard that "Reise" is now an archaic word. In the modern German language I understand it as a verb meaning "to travel", however the archaic term is "Arise". One of the best things about Rammstein is their ability to add, remove & make their own meanings, as well as allowing you to bring in your own. True music from one of the best bands in existence.

  • @rmawer1986 It's actually a pun they love to put into many of their songs.

  • Thumbs up if you listen to this and you're American and part German (any kind of german)

  • @SporeMaster10 I'm black :p

  • @SporeMaster10

Why is that a concern... Are you trying to state that no one from America can listen to this?

I guarantee there are more people in America who listen to this then there are even in Germany.

  • @ProDropInsane I didn't know Rammstein had 81 million American fans.

  • @ProDropInsane what, he never said or implied that

  • @CombatZombieman he did imply it... "More people in America than Germany that listen to them" 81 million = German fans of them

  • @SporeMaster10 Awwwwwww yeeeeeeeeah

  • @SporeMaster10 I'm 1/4 German! and I speak a little German...(not much, but a little)... guten abend, ich bin Herr Awesome... ich bin ein mann... danke...

  • @SporeMaster10 everyone who is white (but not chinese) is part german

  • @jason13204 Really? How so?

  • @jason13204 how do you know that? (it's true, I'm part German), but how do you know that that is true?

  • @jason13204 chinese do not have white skin it yellow

  • Reise reise means many things, but according to this song, it perhaps means Rise, Rise.

One of the top 10 IMO.

  • rock it..!!

  • Great song

  • I think 'reise' means 'travel', as well as 'to rise' (It does so in danish)

  • 3:28 - 4:16 is my favorite part of the song.

  • @IceIceBreak69 Well my favorite part is 0:00 to 4:16 soo yea...

  • No all of you fuck tards it's arise.

  • no offense but some of the translations are pretty off

  • yea reise means travel

  • This song sounds like its supporting the Third Reich xD but its actually about a fisherman haha

  • Powerful words.

  • im pretty sure reise is arise in english

  • @TheAvengedsevenfan6 actually its Travel. Reise = Travel then you got Riese which is Giant haha :P

  • @Ao2BairdTUR depends on what generation your using when u translate cause dutch is travel but german is rise and yes german a dutch are technicaly the same but the german are diffrent

  • @TheAvengedsevenfan6 it translates to travel

  • A good rock song not too hard.

  • I'm really starting to love Deutsch, it's such a beautiful language and its musicians are always passionate about what they sing!

  • @GoddessAriana I love to learn language and Germa is the language I prefere to learn first! I also LOVE german. don't know why. maybe because they are tottally diferent from my native language

  • @GoddessAriana Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this German?

  • @Lokiallen12345 Deutsch is another word for German.

  • @ClassicCar94 I-I knew that!... I feel so dumb.

  • @Lokiallen12345 Lol no worries. It happens to us all.

  • @Lokiallen12345

    derp smoke some more crack

  • @Lokiallen12345 Yes but "Deutsch" is actually the correct word. The real name of the country is Deutschland not Germany, and the language they speak isn't German it's Deutsch. I just like to call countries by their real name and not use the "translations".

  • @GoddessAriana being a 2nd year german student at my school I tried to translate it myself (without a book or the internet) I had no idea it had any thing to do with the ocean. And German is a fun language to learn and what sucks is im getting so much shit for it people will call you a nazi and shit

  • @GoddessAriana but when they do I say this Ich bin euer freündlich nachbershaft Nazi (if that was spelled right that says I am your friendly neighborhood Nazi) it is really funny to watch someone shit themselves right in front of you.

  • @icehelljumper lol if you say that in germany you can get a huge fine

  • YOO musicDJ167 i love your videos for rammstein. and the fact that we have the same Numbers in our names, 167 is totally coincedince lmao

  • yeah mrsnaranja is right i does mean to journey or travel would be the more appropriate translation

  • @deutschcommando nope, reise in old high german used to mean 'Arise', this has died out, and as you said, has become to journey or to travel, but it still seems to live on in the language of German sailors.

  • I hear this song in my head every time I see the Gortons fisherman.

  • learn deutsch first du dumm arsch

  • @rlphrlph good german well done keep it up and ull love it

  • IIts uncorrect - Reise means journey,no arise ...

  • @MrsNaranja Incorrect** :p

  • @Drunkenbatproduction Owww my fault thank you ;d

  • Reise, reise.... SEMEN REISE!!

  • this is like something u would hear after a shark attack "bluten sich am ufer leer"

  • meh band is covering this song! and we are singing the german lyrics. like how all bands should when covering rammstein's songs

  • I love Rammstein....

  • i listen to this when i play nazi zombies

  • @Razzberry02 hell i play all there damn songs when playing Zombies!!

  • @radioguysbrother smart man

  • @Razzberry02 yes i am smart thank you ;D

  • @Razzberry02 on "der riese" of course

  • @spankysteve43 hehe yeah son

  • @x0MyLILpwny0x You jerk...

  • @x0MyLILpwny0x Wow. Asshole.

  • @Tuzzeh Jokein

  • @x0MyLILpwny0x Cunt.

  • @Simpsonwannabe WHAT :ooo0o0o0o0o0o0oo0oo0o00o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0 i like them

  • @Razzberry02 boorah

  • @Razzberry02 I play this when I kill Nazi Zombies

  • this is one of my airsoft batlle prep tunes

  • in google translate reise means travel

  • @Razzberry02 Since when has google translate always been right?

  • Comment removed

  • @Razzberry02 German is a rather complex language, so words often have double meanings. Reise Reise is actually a seamans wake up call, so it can mean both.

  • Comment removed

  • rueryuzaki1 Rammstein would make this game god if they do that XD

  • Comment removed

  • German is such an awesome language!!

  • Why do I love this song so much?

  • the sea is the origin of all life. Where there's water, life is bountiful. Death is a part of life.

  • @MrRobato7900007 doesnt mean people want death. i sure as hell dont

  • @Methbuster167 Some people wish they could wish death.

  • @Aliquantisper true
