The way that they are using "Reise" in this song is the same way it was used by German sailors in WW2. As in "Arise! Arise!", not "Travel! Travel!" The sailors would shout it out to wake each other up when they needed to get to battle stations.

I personally believe the song has something to do with PTSD.

I'd heard that "Reise" is now an archaic word. In the modern German language I understand it as a verb meaning "to travel", however the archaic term is "Arise". One of the best things about Rammstein is their ability to add, remove & make their own meanings, as well as allowing you to bring in your own. True music from one of the best bands in existence.
