It seems that in the past several episodes, Cory and Topanga were arguing a lot, and even though they always made up and seemed lovey-dovey, it also felt like maybe they were in a bit of a rut, and the writers needed some drama in there to spice things up. Makes sense that they'd introduce Lauren into the mix.
As much as I love Corey and Topanga....I love this episode and the overall drama that followed. It really tested their relationship and in the end, made them stronger. I also love what Lauren represnets which is how someone completly unexpected can change the way you look at the world. Had Corey ended up with Lauren and there was no Topanga, he probabaly would have been happy. But he did have Topanga, his first love and they ended up happy.
@stefers08 wow, I think that sums up the importance of these shows with Lauren. Reminds me of the Last Kiss as far as movie connection. It's like, Topanga seemed like all he'd (or any guy) ever wanted, but he never had a chance to really talk with someone else this cool, and maybe, even better for him. It expands his mind to know there's other interesting girls out there like Topanga, in this case Lauren, so he can't help himself to have some type of experience with her.
@Carjaxjasamfan me too. i think it's a bitch move. because she would complai if a girl was hitting on her boyfriend. i don't get girls like that-if he cheats on topanga with her, wouldn't she be concerned about him cheating on her?
@kathlenamae76 not necessarily....people who are perfectly happy become attracted to others, whether they act upon that depends upon will power: can they resist the physical side? And when it comes to personal/emotional things, sometimes people fancy a change from what they're used to; different is exciting. They're not necessarily unhappy per se. But yes, it is Cory's fault for cheating.
