I must admit, I hadn't seen Daicon IV before I watched this, and by the time I saw Daicon IV I'd forgotten how this went apart from the ELO song. Rewatching this opening years later, I'm astounded and overjoyed to see how much of an homage to Daicon IV it is. :D

Daicon is a Science Fiction convention in Japan.

Because the main caracter in the TV drama is an otaku, they made a direct reference to the Daicon opening anime, same music and same bunny girl...and same anime crew.

Mina was created by the people who made Densha Otoko, it was such a great idea for a anime that once they finished with Densha Otoko they made Getsumen to Heiki Mina, before it wasn't a real anime it was just used for the otaku kid but not they made her real

well the mina char(sopouse to be a anime series) It was create at firts only for the dorama densha otoko but after the big popular serie. they decide to create for real this anime name :Getsumento Heiki Mina. the other anime char mentioned in here was keroro gunso and this series was in real life on tv.
