  • I'm autistic... not that worse I see now :$ but... yeah.. Attracts me ;o (:

  • I'd be scared of them, sorry but they seem to hit alot and have random mood swings

  • this is our sTORry

  • Roy is the man

  • no autistic person should be let to live in an independent life..

  • @elenavlada Are you in your 30's and still living with your parents?

  • It's a pity this documentery didn't really look into what help was avaliable for autistic people. I was actually filmed for this giving a talk to the year 7's, but my footage wasen't used in the end. Spa School was my local secondery school, but I left before this documentery was made and I knew Roy and Esther. Not Roxanne and Moneer (I think that's how it's spelt) so much as they were in Year 7 when this was made. A pity, it could have been better.

  • lol /cwc/

  • that girl who said that she wants to f* kill herself doesn't look like she has autism but does have noticable behavioural problems

that guy who started hitting himself saying this can't be happening looks schizophrenic

  • I have something called autism and I know right and wrong quite well.

Then again, that's what you get with ABA.

  • I LOVE TO FUCKING KILL MYSELF

  • @Balksa you have officially proved yourself being the biggest douchebag on Youtube

  • WHERE IS CHRISTIAN WESTON CHANDLER!?!?! HE HELPED CULTIVATE THE FIRST GENERATION OF AUTISTICS!!!

  • Are the teachers autistic too? Would be quality ingredients for a solid comedy!

  • @Luca220392 It's a documentary, not a comedy. If you want comedy, grab a rope go into the woods, and hang yourself. I'll be laughing so much to a person who once offened my fellow Aspies

  • I hate that they feel they're different because all of us are different i know some autistic kids and i think they are the most interesting people. They are smart, kind , and fun to be around.

  • 7:50 is so heartbreakingly profound.

  • @LauralsPink where'd u go to school? That sounds like my cousin

  • 2:44 ????

  • there was an autistic kid at my high school. he would always talk about the weather and electronics. when he would greet you he would state your birthday first then your name. he could tell you what day of the week you were born on and do large math sums without even touching a calculator. he was a sweet kid, just got a bit annoying with the weather and electronics talk though.

  • Roxanne is 30?? Or he said 13 right!:S

  • Holy shit hahah god damn British people!

  • My mom is a teacher for the Special Ed in Elementary. She is one of my heros <3

  • And she went hello!

  • also think roxanne also has tourettes. she gives the finger then apologizes. i wonder what happened to her. she looks like a really cool person..

  • i wish these kids were taught that they are a person WITH autism not that they have autism, that in the end it only makes up a small part of who they are and it is a quirk of humanity.

  • That guy who remembers Eastenders. That is normal. well i don't mean about the time he first saw her, but the information, is not that hard to remember, i know almost everything about the British SAS, Paratroopers and armed forces, all you do is some re-search and boom

  • These children are all so loveable... i just want to take them and shower them with love and give them the help they need to suceed in the world

  • 0:00 - 0:09 lol!

  • couldnt they have bloody named it something else, assburgers ftw

  • For some reason watching this makes me remember the days in pre-school where I've thrown a few baby dolls on to the ground... XD I was pretty weird.

  • I have this affliction of not understanding others because im self centereed in a bad way ergo i have anxiety all the time. When im on something like weed i can feel others almost read their mind if you will. Anyways i hope i dont have this. Im quite sure im suffeting from xtreme depression

  • Some of these people have a genuine neurological difference, but the majority are just brats looking for a label to excuse their selfish happy horse crap.

  • @NurseLorelei I know what you mean some people are just attention seekers.

  • @NurseLorelei you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. I really hope you're not actually a nurse.

  • 4:45 and 5:26. This guy is Hilarious. In a good way too.

  • For Roy it's (what? 06:00). I don't understand this word, could someone spell it for me please? I'm really intersted in autism - I read a book about an autistic boy and I was sure that all these people are very calm and distant. I thought that they always sit in one place doing maths, but they are so much more. Sometimes I feel sorry for them, they must feel really lonely, but sometimes I admire them, and try to understand. I wish I knew someone with autism...

  • sigh why does uk have so many fucking mental disabilities?

  • It's so curious to me that in another "Only Human" documentary called "I can't stop eating", all of the comments were very cruel and of a mocking nature. But with this documentary, many of the comments are caring and thoughtful.

Why are obese people with mental challenges funny, but thin people with mental challenges a cause for concern and care?

It's so incredibly sad, and very indicative of the shallow, vacuous world we're living in.

  • @tiggy333

    I think both are funny.

  • @tiggy333 I agree, I just finished watching that video myself.

  • @tiggy333 So very very true. I'm glad you made the comment.

  • @Sitheis2009

What she means is she doesn't understand 'why' is something wrong. Though the eyes of autism, many social rules just don't make any sense, and we have a literal and logical way of thinking. People say it's wrong to point at someone.... why is that? How does pointing as someone hurt them?

I am autistic and 'normal' people tend to annoy me because of their conventional way of thinking.

  • if you cant survive in the viciousness of nature, you should not be allowed to live in our built world and fuck it up for us poor "normies"

  • I feel sorry for that girl who obssessively flips people off

  • @Whodawhadadoda who said it was a disease? i have aspergers and we dont choose to have it so dont you think you being a bit unreasonable?

  • Interesting video. I have autism as well. AS to be exact. I agree with the girl on the beginning it's hard to tell what's wrong...

  • @Sitheis2009 you have the same condition? so you have autism? just wondering thats all lol

  • @Sitheis2009 not necessarily there might be antinomy's

  • "I love to fukin kill myself" 1:22

  • @ronaldo4life7

    fuckin PMSL

  • That's cool, if if you were "like" them you'd still be a nice person. I think that people on the autism scale need understanding and to be taught ways to deal. :) Have a nice day.

  • Thanks for not being a dick, I feel the need to point out who isn't an asshole on youtube these days :)

  • I think she ment in the way a child understands right but not wrong. Yes they may know it (whatever it is) isn't what they should be doing but they can't find the little voice in their heads that tell them "no, stop, bad". You know what I mean?

  • Im not being offensive but they are like 5 year olds, I had a freind in primary school who had autism, but he was kind of popular, in contrast to this other kid who was insane

  • What are the three sentences starting at 6.03. I can't really understand what they're saying.

    For Roy it's .......

it sounds like a blur to mexD

    (i'm from the netherlands:P)

  • I learning a lot by seeing this documentair about autism.

  • Roxanna remain me of myself when i was in school i would trow very dangerous items at others who bother me or i jokingly trow stuff such as hammers, clambs, gym wights etc, not proud of it but at least now that I'm older i know better.

  • This documentary was being shown back in 2005, Roxanne's far more improved now, she doesnt do that as much now... she doesn't throw things but does get kind of frustrated... I love her to bits, ive known her for years xD

  • roy is awesome!!!!!

  • This is too negative, they are only showing low functioning auties and only focusing on the bad points of it.

I have Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and I'm nothing like this and I like being who I am, I am proud to be autistic.

  • Ditto, Josh :P.

    EMZ=]

  • your username is eerily appropriate

  • Comment removed

  • True, this is *very* negative. But low functioning auties are part of the autism spectrum as well--and with more media coverage, more stories of spectrum experience are coming to media attention. Some of these *will* include negative feelings.

The task remains to us, spectrumites who like ourselves, to support and encourage others as they find their way across the human spectrum.

  • I went to a school like this for a couple years! I was happy there because it was much nicer than public school had been, but a lot of my friends there were always getting upset like most of these kids are. I hope they're happier now.

  • Actually, I think they *are* speaking for themselves. It's just that we tend to berate ourselves for not being normal without stopping to think of what normal is: an average. They sure as hell don't complain about straight A students or football stars for not being normal! But only for behavior that not acceptable--and that's the problem : "normal" being a prerequisite for love and human dignity.

  • Why they want to be normal is Sitheis2009 is cause like normal people get on with life easily and they socialise more simplier, with an autistic person it depends really and mainly affects them in a social way, managing their feelings, speech etc... Now do u get the idea?

  • This documentary is so brilliant.

  • @shinyalbert ya your right

  • I think Roxanne has Tourettes as well.

  • @limbdarkening I think so as well.
