when he's explain the concept of just having the bass drum, and going through the song in my head? UHG UHG UGH GUGH UGHG MY BALLS GREW BALLS, WHICH THEN DROPPED.
Great wisdom from this man: I'm having trouble writing heavy rock stuff right now because I don't think of it in context of the song, rather "Oh, this is a cool riff." Not taking drums into account and other dynamic things. I need this guy to mentor me. Hail King Buzzo.
I got that problem also. That's why I need input from a drummer, bass player. Take that cool riff and let your bandmembers fool around with it. Not many people write a song 100% alone. Melvins songs are usually very easy. So it's all about the dynamics and that cool riff should be the driving force, like the engine. But fuck yeah, I need Buzz to teach me so cool tricks also : )
@Bodycage If you mean around 2:30 the chords are meant to be messed up, he does flub a note a bit there anyway haha. I picked up on it too, definitely not out of tune though
@Majigitajog No, I don't mean just at 2.30. If you listen (not even closely tbh), even his straight 5ths have awkard decay, meaning at least one string (prob the low D) is a little sharp. So you're definitely not out of tune comment is pretty much factually incorrect.

Honey Bucket isn't awesome just because of the riffs, but 'cause of Crover's awesome drumming, and it was produced really well.

At times like this, I really wish he was my dad. I'd be able to hear his little nuggets of wisdom every day.
