  • and if you look closely at the crowd its like orange county found out that hollywood does exist, and thought it would be cool to look like that and has now taken over the scene. it's just a bunch of yuppy, snobs dressed in wanna be goth garbage gear who probably only know bands like smashing pumpkins and nirvana!! lol ORANGE COUNTY HAS TAKEN OVER THE SCENE

  • who cares if they have fun then let 'em

  • @myforum01 Have you been to this club? if it looks like OC is there that is becasue people from OC have come there, people from all over Goths from all over , from as far nother as SB thought i know some who have Come to visit From Sacramento.

both Djs have been in the plying there trades from more than 12 years and are still doing that very thing at several clubs. as far as i am aware OC has 2 clubs Raven and Xian Djed together at Antiquity and the notorious Near Dark. Snoby just a bit? D, ,

  • the worst disappointment was Das bunker, its way too popular now and it has turned into a big wanna be goth rave. with tacky colorful fashions, and baggy pants.those emp and goth rave styles are not neat. and steampunk fashion is way overrated, and everybody dances but does not pay any attention to the beat. really. it use to be a good industrial club when it was in long beach like 11 yrs ago. now its just a popular goth rave.

  • You're right about that.Been to that club many times before(last time was in early 2008).Back in early 2006,abunch newbies("kids" about 18-19 years old)were on the dance floor pushing people around(I think they were trying to start a "mosh").

It's funny,in the last 7-9 years, when you see a newbie going to these type of theme clubs, they stick out(sometimes wearing bright white sneakers and athletic clothing).

I know what you mean when you mention,"Rave",it's those damn glow sticks.

  • That is what happenes to scenes. They become trends in America with fake people.

  • @oramikleepunk thats because that is the nature of men to ruin the good things, like when i was in highschool Goths and punks kinda kept to them selves and now these EMOs(the Sagging of tight pants is the worst of it besides some serious hair issues) they walk around like the own the joint

  • @myforum01 arent you just the spoiled sport, lots of people like the club it may not be as good as when that was a dj there but i have seen DJ Amanda Jones there shes got points at being a good dj, Since the Fang Club after all we had her play New Rose by the Damned she didn't even flinch (some other Dj might have said it might be a tad off of format, she just did what a really good Dj does mixed it in

  • the music is not what it used to be. the fashions are ridiculous. the people can't dance to save their lives no rhythm, they play crap that sounds like metal, techno, house..the people who dance on the boxes can't dance or dress.like the older days where the ebm music was better such as club stigmata, dungeon etc, back then people dressed neat, unique. now it looks like a circus and people try too hard to look different. if you remember those days you know what i am talking about.

  • It's more of a fashion today,and a trend.Alot of them don't know anything about post punk,or batcave bands.

  • @myforum01 too bad your so anonymous , I went to Stigmata , and Dungeon, you forgot Helter Skelter, and Kontrol factory, Ghoul school. among others,

the idea is some clubs spin predominantly one type of music or the other, like how we have different rooms, you can still hear classics, and new music. almost anywhere as long as it fits the format. perhaps you are just going to the wrong clubs , but you seem a bit on the but hurt side, all things have to evolve... you want a 80's club

  • @whiskeyfist666 how lame are you? you have to go some place, man up and tell then no.

    \D, ,

  • Been there once and was disappointed by the lack of gothic music. They are more interested in thumpy industrial and EBM. Release The Bats, Severance and Eternal are better choices for goths to attend.

  • en peru tmb es asi xD

  • It's on Sundays, not Saturdays.

  • sadly, it has come n gone as fast as any LA restaurant.... but Sunday is alive and well

  • Yep, I've been to that Club once, it was kinda empty but those slides look like it's doing pretty well. I gotta to gear up to go again.

    Industrial+Sci-fi= cyberpunk!!
