Most of Harleys bikes are aircooled. You'll get less power out of each side of the engine and over heating. I am an American car kinda guy but, I am affraid the 'Japs" got the road bike thing down. Harleys are nice but I dont think are as reliable as people might think.
True. I love the fact that some Harley riders here in Oz think that all bike are the same reliability, its price less. i have a VN900 classic my self and i love it to hell. i got new pipes on it that were made in Tamworth. God there good there formula 1's if u are wondering there not to loud but beefy as hell . this bike sounds nice to. but as all thing we like what we have more.
why do you go to every Vulcan 900 video and comment about a Harley??? If people wanted a Harley they would buy one. Are to stupid to realize there are other bikes besides a Harley.
you know it's funny that you wrote that, I asked a used bike dealer about Harleys and he said "No, they look nice, but no. He doesn't deal with them and I have been going to him for a year and I just recently saw a Harley. He sells all his bikes with warranties, except that Harley is "as is." Even he knows that he will lose money from them, something could go horribly wrong before the period expires.
My V900 just turned 5600 miles, no belt adjustment, no anything so far. Best bike buy anywhere. By the way, your bike looks and sounds great!. Do you have a PowerCommander running on it?
Thanks for the compliment! No powercommader yet, waiting for my 2500 mile tune up. I do expeience a few backfires on downshifts, i am sure the p.c. will clear that up. Any suggestions?
I've done quite a bit of research on implementing after market exhausts, and found that all the "experts" highly recommend putting on a high volume air filter, a fuel injector module and then pipes. The fuel mixture is set so lean at the factory that it could possibly burn a valve without the module. It should increase power 15-20% when all complete, the MPG will reduce about the same % but What-a-Ride.
Your bike sounds good! Even after you put your power commander on, you will still get some backfiring happening. It has to do with the air valve and how it is used to burn off any un-burnt fuel in the exhaust. There is an easy way to fix it though, just do a google search on "marbling" it. It basically amounts to plugging that hose, but the backfiring stops all together. Hope this helps! Shiny side up!
Hi there, I have the same bike and exhaust as yours, may I ask do you know where can I get the baffles for the road burner exhaust? Thanks.

lol we can easily make a Jap bike be like a Harley, just loosen a few bolts, damage a few internals and you would have the same reliabilty.

nice bike, how do you like it.
Do you have to adjust the belt drive very often?
I only had shaft and chain drive bikes.
