@lluwd Hi there, This guitar is fairly loud unplugged definately louder than a regular acoustic guitar. What your hearing hear is unplugged but there are two pickups on this guitar, 1. a lipstick style pickup as on a fender telecaster and 2. a pickup inside the resonator cone that captures the distinctive tone of the instrument. The cone pickup tho can be a bitch for feedback if your not careful, I usually have it turned down low or off when plugged in. Oh yeah and its a round neck! Thanks bro
@r2cristi Thanks Bro! I learnt this by ear, just played along with the Krauss version (in the key of E i think) till I picked the melody. If you send me your email I'll send you on the scales that I use and their position on the neck for open tunings. Joe
@333joemc thank you Joe . My e-mail is cristi_t_93@yahoo.com . Do you think that i can practice this song as well on a normal acoustic guitar until i get to buy a resonator ? .Cristian
@r2cristi Yeah you can do that no problem at all on a normal acoustic guitar. For slide tho heavier gauge steel strings sound best ie gauge .11" or heavier, and if you want to play lap style like i'm doing in this video it helps if use a dobro type capo to raise the action way up off the fretboard.
the song's name is "needs a new pair of shoes" :) just joking... good job... thanks for sharing...
