Fishing is done explicitly for eating, whereas hunting is purely done for recreational purposes. As far as I know they didn't 'insult' you hunters, they just stared at the guy, while HE insulted the foreigner.

first of all, yes fishing is done for recreational purpose. i don't think that being "spied" is something that you like. i dont think that you would like people taking pictures of you without authorisation. and we dont hunt because others do. it's a hobby. and if your people dont eat birds it doesnt mean that all don't. we have a tradition of eating our hunt at sunday. you should be mature - don't talk if you haven't ever been there.

I shoot pheasants, ducks etc and eat them. This is a disgrace. These Maltese retards shoot protected birds of prey which are globally rare and threatened. They are not even Maltese birds, they are only migrating over their island. They are pathetic and miserable individuals probably so uneasy with there own sexuality thet they feel the need to destroy our European natural heritage.

I am in UK. Yes, sometimes protected birds are shot or poisoned but this is quite rare. When the perpetrators of such acts are caught they are severely punished by our legal system. The Maltese government want all the advantages of membership of the EU but do not want to adhere to European law. Why would a person shoot a globally rare bird only to see it fall to the ground? It is barbaric. Civilised EU nations should take sanctions against Malta until these barbarous acts are stopped

The truth is that in since Malta is a small and densley populated country every single protected bird shot is noticed and it will surely hit the headlines,but in the UK shooting of protected birds is more difficult to get spotted since it is a very big country with a vast countryside.Let alone the thousands of birds of prey poisened which are nearly impossible to detect,are going unnoticed...
