@baywatchrules12 Nope, each book is a stand-alone novel. However in some books there are references to a previously novel. I've read all the books but not in a specific order
Gone Tomorrow was the first book I read in the series, and by far the best. If you were to pick one novel in the Reacher series, this is your thriller.
The Killing Floor. Now Reacher was just plain "hard" in that novel. I picture Reacher has a cross between Charles Bronson & Jason Statham. The last couple of novels I have to say are disappointing.
@fokke1234 No I meant the actual guy that was voted by Lee childs and a room full of people at the writers convention in San Francisco earlier this year. It was an international contest. His name was Duncan Monro and I figure if Lee childs thinks he is what Reacher would look like then surely he should be considered. Duncan Monro is also a character in the next Reacher book I believe that was his prize for winning the contest!
They say you don't mess with the 110th, but an editing company did. They are rba, and they are uber assholes. They own the distribution rights in spanish and haven't edited one single book. Reacher is unknown in latin america just because this suckers won't release the novels or sell the rights.
I don't see what's the best actor jumping about, but in my approach, the model in the website is the one, people at the agency already picked him, only the scars missing. The hollywood ones are some fair, some bad, some terrible, and vin diesel.
If you love the excellent Lee Child, another – at present relatively unknown – crime mystery thriller that looks really good is called With Cold Hearts by David Hurst, trailer is on YouTube here: – /watch?v=JLZY-CKoPMA
@EoinM247 Bad luck and trouble is my favorite but thats just because its the first one I read. Die trying was good, I really liked nothing to lose, it was hope and despair btw. I agree with 61 hours being pretty meh. Gone tomorrow was just so lame though, it literally took him 3 quarters of the book to figure out what was going on, he had not kicked anyones ass by that point and if you remember, reacher made a lot of mistakes in that book, I'm not sure if that was a comment on his age or not.
@ShorinRyu74 Bad Luck and Trouble was written to be the best one I think - pulled out all the stops in that one and it was very kickass, 59/61 of those hours were spent hyping up the last two and the ridiculous policy that town had about policing - REALLY? About Nothing to Lose, was the initial reason he stayed not because he was curious? Disappointed. One Shot was my first because I like the detective side of Reacher, glad I got into it and looking forward to The Affair (sequel to the prequel)
@EoinM247 I'm looking forward to The affair too, although the title doesn't sound very badass and I'm a little dissapointed in the content. I was looking forwards to finishing the story arc for 61 hours and worth dying for. I'm sure I'll like it though, I loved the enemy, that was a good one.
This is awesome. i hope when they make the movie they film it in a similar way to give us a look at how reacher thinks. kind of like what they did with sherlock homes, otherwise so much will be lost in the film's translation
Steve rogers a.k.a captain America=Jack Reacher

What about the guy who won the "what would reacher look like" contest. Wouldn't he be a good start???

@laverty22 He would look like Jason Strathem but more muscle. But that's not what you meant, is it? ;)

@ShorinRyu74 I'd say this is one of my favourites - One Shot/Bad Luck and Trouble the best
I think Echo Burning, Die Trying, Nothing to Lose (the one with two towns Hope and Destiny?)and 61 hours were all ****.
