Alan at his peak, a dreamboat! He's still a pretty cool cat! I remember him singing this live in concert at the Rainbow Theatre, London on Rak Rocks Britain Tour. A fabulous song.
@londonboy59 Arrows singer Alan Merrill is still performing, mainly in the New York City area, but he also toured Japan three times last year and did one trip to Europe. He still looks in good shape on stage and there many very recent pictures (from a show last week in fact) of him on his website, which is easy to find on any search engine. .
This clip is one of 5 timecoded performances that were believed to have survived from the 27/2/75 broadcast of TOTP - purely because they were all previous appearances 'inserted' into the show. (Fox and Frankie Valli and Supertramp were 3 of the others.)
However, it has emerged a clean, entire edition exists in the BBC archive.
This was not a promotional film. It was an actual TOTPs appearance before a live BBC TOTPs audience. The band had at least three appearances with this song on the show.
I heard one of them passed away a few yrs ago ws it the drummer?

What a great little singer Alan Merrill was, and I presume, still is..and one of the best looking men of his era.

@Greatstuff365 Still waiting for the first "Touch Too Much" TOTPs from 1974 to surface. Someone has it, somewhere. It's just a matter of time.

Alan at his sweetest..like cookies and cream.

I know Alan would have insisted on live vocals. They all hated taped TOPops lip sincs.
All of them could sing but clearly Alan was exceptional.
Poor Paul. My best freind
