Sir,,I drive a chevy. But I love that Italian car but it,s way beyond my budget for a car. Thay can`t be anything more then motors and gears Like my Adcom amp I used then I got the Krell amp stayed up listen to music for 3 days lost one day of work...wait tell you get into TT interconnects juts a hobby ,,living is easy

SOTA does make turntables today, and they have refurbished ones as high as 4900, and new ones almost 9.000. That is way beyond my budget for a turntable. They can't be anything more than motors and gears like any other turntable. I wonder what you get for that extra 8000 over a regular high end turntable that supposedly plays a record that much better.

You are right twochaudio, the, the VPI turntable is around 2500.00,. I have seen tuntables up to 23.000, and you really don't need to spend that kind of money for a quality turntable. This Luxman and Magnepan Unitrac tonearm was proably priced around 600.00 to 800 less cartridge, and that is more than enough, for a good turntable, and tonearm. I think anything beyond that is more status than sound quality.
