What really kills crysis is the geometry that sucks, and the services that Cryteks adopted, such as gamespy (that gives you problems every time when online), EA that tries to makes you install crapware with their incessant attempts, if these things were removed and fixed from Crysis, that would be the game nº1
I have 4GB of ram, Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS superclocked 256MB, AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.81 GHz and windows vista basic (DX10) and I am able to run crysis on all high settings with a few on very high with a good solid FPS. The only lag I will get is if I enter a cinematic it will slow down a bit, but it will not go choppy. I can run on all very high, but it's pretty laggy. Medium and below runs completely flawlessly reguardless of what happens in the game.
