He was a very talented man, yet could always be identified by his distinctive voice... His name was Sterling Price Holloway Jr. He also voiced Kaa in Jungle Book and The Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, to name a few other things.... He worked for the Disney company for many years.
