umm... whatever happened to doing it the right way? lol. you need the stencil placement kit for re-balling so it secures the chip in place while doing this.. second you should not be pre-soldering the balls before it gets to the board... >_> if you heat the solder, cool it, then heat it again, you will create a cold solder joint. and basically it loses its conductivity, and nothing you attach to a cold solder joint will work. either that or it shorts out.
@cyberkeeper1 eh ? every single pro video i have seen, the balls are pre soldered to the chip so they DONT MOVE when you are replacing the chip onto the board. you only get cold joints from cracking in the solder and flux filling in the cracks reducing the electrical flow. if its done properly that wont happen. this guy didnt do it the preferred way but the title clearly says ' my first reballing ' we all had to start somewhere
Ooh flux it, flux it yea you fluxed mmmm

@cyberkeeper1 i hope you dont intend on using that heat gun for the top side of the chip. its to direct and could melt the resistors top-side.

er, did you even remove the old solder balls or are you actually reflowing after you take the chip off?
