  • This may sound dumb, but is Castor sugar granulated sugar? Or something different??

  • @Charmed2themaxs Caster sugar is just fine sugar. It's similar to powdered sugar, the difference is Caster sugar doesn't contain cornstarch. :) Hope this helps.

  • But the whole reason why people buy donuts is because they're light, airy and deep-fried. You can't get that result from baking donuts. The baking powder isn't the same as yeast.

    Plain flour, I think he's referring to all purpose flour

    Cast sugar is regular white refined sugar...

  • @MrStupidCupcake ..Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. Baking powder contains sodium bicarbonate, but it includes the acidifying agent already (cream of tartar), and also a drying agent (usually starch).
