@KarateKidX However, running away from battles with the Brave Blade will decrease it's power. Plus, the Brave Blade starts with 200 ATK, and maxed out, the Chicken Knife has 250 ATK. It's actually a pretty awesome deal for just running away from 255 battles to get the Chicken Knife.
This boss is something el,se the trick is to inflict as much lightning damage as possible as quick as you can and hope he doesnt tell half your party to fuck off
omega's beam cannon takes half the maxed hp of your party. so i think the higher the level the more powerful it will be and it will make it a pain to heal if you only decide to use cure 3 on a multiple party one time. so u will likely need to keep healing to keep your hp high.
To make getting Dragon Lances easier, have a character that can steal and a character that can cast the time magic "Return". When you encounter a Crystal Dragon, steal from it. If you steal an Elixir, cast "Return" to restart the battle (Elixirs are MUCH more likely than Dragon Lances, so be patient and you WILL eventually steal one). Once you get the lance, kill the dragon to keep it. If you cast "Return" by accident, you'll lose the lance you stole.
In case someone doesn't understand why Shinryu is easier than Omega...
Equip each character as the dragoon job and the "2-swords" ability (I think "2-swords" is earned as a samurai but don't hold me to that). Equip a Dragon Lance in each character's hands (they can be stolen from Crystal Dragons in the same area where Shinryu is) and Coral Rings (bought in a secret shop in the forest-hidden village to the southwest of the Crescent City). When the battle starts, have each character "Jump"

I killed this guy, after about a dozen tries. a large part of beating him is luck...being lucky enough that he doesn't do attacks in such a order that it kills you in 3 or 4 moves. I barley managed it, but i was just using regular Sshot (aka x-fight) after casting guardian, my main character was the one to finish him off, all my other allies were confused or gone..so it was close.

I love how they play the regular enemy battle theme during this fight to LoL you into a false sense of security and totally not warning you that you are fighting the most dangerous boss in the game.

Omega's multiple arsenal of weaponry ( especially encircle ) makes him a kick ass boss, I am only level 40 myself and he is moping the floor with me and I am having a blast trying to figure out the best way to beat him as he has no attack pattern

Everytime I X-fight omega and hurt it about 15000 hp, omega uses moves like mustard bomb, quake, and circle after rocket punching me 3 times. Then im dead. How did you kill this thing?
i just beat this boss for the 1st time, omega used encircle on 2 of my characters but i still managed to beat him, but towards the end he went a little easier on me with his attacks. Next up shinryu!

well i got to defeat omega once. then i found this place crawling with omegas as if it was just a regular enemy. and a new enemy appears. stronger than omega and shinryu. ithink it was called neo omega... i forgot the name.. since i restarted the whole game.. cause i thought i was already bored until i found out about the chicken knife and brave blade. i wanna test it out so bad..

first, "Beam Cannon" does 50% damage and causes hp leak (hp dropping gradually over time)
second, "Rocket Missile" is doing 50% damage too, and it causes CHARM status, not CONFUSE.
third, "Rainbow Wind" causes both mute+blind statuses
fourth, you forgot about Blaster which causes randomly paralysis or instant-death.

You need to make sure your weapons are Sword-Magic compatible, Bizkit. Spears are not compatible.

Actually, Beam Cannon does 50% of your max hp.
IMO second hardest boss in FFV advance and hardest in normal FFV.
There isn't anything else which responds to getting touched with halving your hp, confusing and erasing chars from the fight.
