@sidian3 Is there anyway you can make multiple personalities such as a fearless confident outgoing person? I feel so weak around people with more powerful personalities. I've been labeled shy for so long that now it's leaving me crippled and I hate it.

@PizzaIsGood101 I'm sorry to say it doesn't work like that. The alters are created under horrible conditions, taking the abuse we couldn't take ourselves. Whoever they are when created is the person they are. They may evolve as time goes by, they may become stronger people, it all depends upon them and what they are willing to do. I wish there was an easy button to make it all better, but sadly, it just takes time.

@PizzaIsGood101 Well, now I do. When I was first diagnosed and there wasn't any Cooperation, I was switching a LOT, most of the day. But now, I love them and would never want them to leave.

@Flutezmusic Yeah, Beth does not like the idea of integrating at all. She is happy and content not integrating, all of them are, so we don't see a need to integrate. Beth is a hoot!

@Duncan9876543210 When I switch, I go to the Meadow, that is a place they created for me. If I want to I can go to other places on the inside they created, such as their house. Throughout the inside are large Viewers, this enables me and the rest of the gang (that is what I call them) to see what is going on outside. If they don't want me to know what is going on, they will close the door to the outside and not allow me to watch any of the Viewers. They thought of everything.

@Duncan9876543210 I used to freak out when we didn't have Cooperation. But since we have learned to work together things don't go haywire as often. Once or twice a month they will still do something or say something that I normally wouldn't but I usually get over quickly. And no, that wasn't stupid question. :)

It bothers me how some people are saying that this isn't real, or that this isn't like the people that they know who have DID. Every System is different. My System (yes, I have DID as well) is going to be different than yours. It's GOING to be. How can you expect any System to be the same as another?

Alters can never really be intergated fully to the host personality however if you are being treated for it DID that is we will have better control over your other personalities

Really enjoyed the video Thanks! so nice to see the alters how prescious they are and so honest and open. I am used to talking to and helping my friends alters. After all they have been to hell and back and need a lot of love and understanding. I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to sit in at her threapy sessions this helps me to know and understand exactly what she is going through and working on. Have a great day

It's hard to empress the ladies when you have an alter that likes to eat silly putty......

I have more then 4, in fact I'm pretty sure at the moment I have 6, the other alters I either integrated or how my one doctor says "hiding" if they are then all together I have over...17, everyone is different, many cases prove that. In my case mine are quite eccentric and a bit out of hand at times I'm 22 and I just want to get through college

Is there any advice you can give a loving husband of a wife that has MPD? I actually prefer the term "Is gifted with MP", cause she has so many more options than me in difficult situations, but she is (or they are) scared. Anything that can help? How to find peace in very frightened situations?

@copperpaint There is not a textbook version of MPD/DID. Just because my system is different from your friends system doesn't mean anything. Every person is different, therefore every system is different.

@sidian3 Well I didn't mean to insult you or imply that there is a textbook version of DID. After I wrote this I realized that you may just be further along in recovery. The two people I knew with it were extremely shy about switching and having alters at the time that I knew them. So this would have surprised me to see this in them. But again maybe you are further along in integrating.

@copperpaint I get what you are saying now. I am further along in treatment, I have gained cooperation and it has been so wonderful now that my system and I are working together. I know several people who are shy about switching. I used to be. I used to feel that I would be judged horribly if I switched.

Yeah I am sorry. I realize how I said it seemed judgemental. That is wonderful you are so far along in recovery. I know that is a very rough road to travel. I don't have DID but I do have a long history of severe abuse. I only recently figured that out. I'll spare you the details. But it is horribly painful yet at the same time it is promising. I am hoping that some day life will be easier and a lot more fun. Take care friend.

@pimpettelala No you don't sound rude. I feel you answered your own question. Some people have the goal of integration. Apparently Sidian3 by her own admission has this goal. She called it cooperation. I don't think the words matter so much as the concept. I have known two people with DID. Both had the goal of integration. So that was mostly what I was going by. I also don't think of people as systems but rather as whole people. Peace.

@viviane5572 As I mentioned before, not ever MP is the same, just like not every person is the same. If this does not fit what you think you know about MP, maybe you should revise what you think you know. There is not a textbook version of MPD/DID. Just because my system is different from your friends system doesn't mean anything. Every person is different, therefore every system is different.

But Multiple personalities are developped when you are very young and by being abused and traumatized by several situations . And no djin touch you when you are young .

@TWFsalaciousness93 That is correct, and its that fear of no longer being that makes them want to stay. I want them to stay as well. We have become a family within myself and we are all content with the way things are.

@shadowofgrace1 Integrating is when the alter merges with the core. Basically, they would no longer "exist" as they do now. A lot of them are frightened by that process but for our system, it is not a requirement. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!! Hope you are well!
