His technique changes (I'm not sure what it's called) when he does his cadenzas, and then his voice turns dark when he hits the high notes. Why didn't he just use mixed voice or something? It certainly wouldn't be stylistically inappropriate in Rossini. Anyhow, still an awesome tenor, and an awesome rendition of this aria. He can really SING the music.
Is always an enjoyment to listen Araiza singing! Legato, pianissimo and fillati IN the voice and Not falsetto, beautifull high notes and stylisticly fabulous!!!
of course there is a difference!! Araiza´s voice besides the quality, has a larger dynamic range, has more velvetness, roundness and provides the proper colors when required
----> kawai1...why don`t you just go and enjoy jdl? you seem to be receptive to mediocrity. You don`t have to waste your time and space for comments here :-)
I do enjoy JDF, thank you. I'm sorry if you have a problem with me commenting here. As I said, everyone is entitled to his opinion. Too bad that you don't respect this and turn to insults. Have a nice day anyway.
who cares whether you like it or not. Some people do not like champagne either but much rather prefer to drink cheap wine; never the less champagne remains the favorite for Gourmets

None can even compare? Just listen to Florez doing this, and see the difference.

I really don't like his style. He's very rough with the music. Sounds very choppy. That and his tone seems like it's in the back of his throat.

but he is still one of the best tenor in this centry, and I think he is really brave, because he has enough courage to sing diffrent kinds of songs
