it looks like you got a bad one, I've never seen one that slow and by the looks of it you had lots of stuff going on in the upper bar of running services that may have had something to do with it but these are just my thoughts
Dude. You have a defective unit. I don't even own this phone, but I've jealously played with my friends' mytouch. Her phone never blinks an eye when doing anything. So I can impartially say "get another 4G and redo your review!"
dnt drop it, and maybe it will run, this is one of the fastestest phones currently in america, so dnt hate, i refuse to watch any of ur other reviews cuz u obiously got the defected one lol
@infosyncvideos for people who know and review tech you guys are kinda dumb with this review! first look at all the crap that is running in the background on that phone / notification bar!! second the phone comes with an 8gb class 2 sd card! which class 2 is slow peace of crap i changed mine into a 8gb class 6 card and it supper fast! yes the htc sense over android sucks but its not as laggy as you show in the review! plus you can always root and put stock 2.3 or whatever you want!
@uskarel The G2, Vibrant, Defy and Optimus T are all top-notch Android phones for T-Mobile. That said, if you're familiar with the myTouch line, the myTouch 4G is the best-rated smartphone of that kind. In our full review of the myTouch 4G (follow the link in the video description above), we say that it could have matched the EVO 4G and Droid X, but its overall experience and performance didn't prove to be of the über-smartphone kind.
i'm sorry my friend, but your phone is defective. I've interacted with 3 other MT4G besides my own, and none of them lagged AT ALL. I'm not saying you don't know what your talking about or doing, but there is something wrong with your device. Try another unit and redo your review...for your sake.
Hey dude this is an awesome review but with the whole lag thing, I saw all the things you have running on the device... do you have a task killer... this phone does run a lot of programs at once and I've never had anything like that with my mytouch 4g, try using advanced task killer and see if it's still laggy, all my friends are amazed at how fast my phone is lol
I appreciate the review, but I was unable to replicate any of the problems you had with the MT4G. Everything works great on my unit. Perhaps you have a bad unit. I love this phone and I've had MANY in the past 6 months. This is by far my favorite.
great review as usual … i'd say the best way to use an Android phone is to install the standard barebones OS … disable widgets and other childish geeky crap … saves on battery and limits freezups … cause I need a phone not a toy … but I guess that's just me
hmm … I wonder if Google will integrate Apple's Facetime into Android (since it is an open standard) …
@supertrendy77351 Fear not, as T-Mobile has released four top-notch Android phones in the second half of 2010 (four more than last year): G2, Vibrant, Defy and Optimus T. Check out our site for the full reviews on them all.
Check your notifications bar once in awhile.

....what's with the AT&T logo on the lock screen.
Either you've hacked into the phone to change that, or it's unlocked.
That's gotta be contributing to the "lagginess" just a bit.
Every review I've seen of this phone shows it running fast and smoothly.

That was a really good review. Thanks! But i have a question, would you think this phone was better than the samsung vibrant?

You are a great reviewer, in my opinion. Really unbiased, peaceful voice, clear speech, weirdly funny, AND you're cute. So, keep'em coming!
