@PirateFish1 Sorry, I find your argument invalid because you're assuming that Angle believes all Hispanics are illegal, but that is not the case. Not all illegals are Hispanic, and not all Hispanics are illegal, but the fact is that most illegals are Hispanic. If it were targeting all Hispanics, rather than illegal immigrants, then you could accurately state that it was racist, but that is not the case. Racism is discrimination due to race, not legal status.

I brought up Hispanics because the person who sent me the video claimed it was racist against Hispanics, and also the comments before mine said this, so I would assume that they are the ones you believe are being "targeted."

Illegal aliens are not a race they are people that are illegally in our country and should not be paid benefits for violating our laws. Legal immigrants are also not a race but should be afforded benefits as allowed by law. There must be an incentive for people to obey the laws of our Country.

On one hand we hire these people because we like cheap produce and cheap labor, but the politicians like to grandstand and make racist comments about those same workers while they do nothing to solve the problem by cracking down on employers.

I can't speak for him, but a lot of people against letting illegals in are also equally against companies hiring them and giving them the incentive. And there are laws on the books to prevent that from happening, but we don't do much to enforce either.

@goodganews I agree with you that the employers need to be punished. They are the root of the problem. But these people broke the law coming to the U.S. And they know it. We need to be able to have a logical debate in this country about illegal immigration. It's nearly impossible to do that because whoever speaks out against it is labeled a racist. Thats not fair. Our borders are there for a reason. No1 in this country would have the quality of life they do now if it wasn't for our borders.

Maybe because of the french meaning which only relate to «a creature from space», or because of the verb. Harry Reid's goal seems to be not give birth rights to children of parents of illegal aliens, but an actual vote on the matter has not been finished yet, Therefore the Angle ads are false. Whether or not this is racism depends on how you define racism, and I'm afraid that's a neverending debate.

However, I think it should be possible to agree on the fact that this add is fearmongering at its worst and a gross simplification of the political and economic mechanism's involved (i.e. an illegal immigrantis not gonna take away jobs from white suburban men who work in finance), and of the people involved (scared little white children vs. scary looking illegal hispanics).

I grew up on my family's farm working shoulder to shoulder with an illegal alien who my father put up on the farm in a trailer, eventually he had to go back to Mexico because the IRS was after him for not paying his taxes.
