Squirtle: Start with him to weaken big characters like Ganon/Bowser/Deedeede Etc.

Bulbasaur: Good against medium/small characters. Has good airgame and is good at messing with small people with strong medium range attacks.

Charizard: Comes out either when your character has lots of damage (so your opponent can't knock you away easily) Or when your going up a gainst a big character, and have already weakened them.
