I will miss her so much. She was one hell of a woman. She worked up untill the day she died. I hope I don't want to sound disrespectful, but how will they write her charcter out of Corrie? I'm hoping the show pays tribute ter her on the show as well in real life. RIP Maggie. You will not be forgotten.

The writers/producers will of course handle it all very respectfully! :) They've already had to write out two characters that I know of who passed away in real life, naming the brilliant wonderful actors who played Alf Roberts & Stan Ogden. I thought the way 'enders handled Mike Reids exit was also handled sensitively. I'm sure they'll pay a very fitting, worthwhile, deserving tribute! I think her final scene airs Friday next week. Phyllis Pearce, another fun loving character :) XX

Alf Roberts died in his armchair on New Year's Day 1999 (on-screen). This occured one month before the actor's real death.

Bernard Youghs who played Stan Ogden had to take a break because he was seriously ill and he died in August 1984. In November 1984, they wrote Stan out when the character had died while in hospital after being ill.
