@nbaietti I fear your mistaking 1 character (of which the actor steve coogan, has played many) for all of british comedy. The reason there is no punchline like you would get in a standard sit com, is This show is done in a fly on the wall style, and obious punchlines would spoil the effect, plus i think being british helps, as it is a very british comedy with very biritsh characters. So unless you've lived here for some time you may miss a fair few of the jokes, as you may not get the references

One of the few comedies that seem to get funnier the more you watch it - must of watched Partridge dozens of times, know all the lines and what's coming...but still laugh my head off!
