  • ot amazes me how she got time to learn this while out of the kitchen

  • call me when u turn 18 please

  • Don't get me wrong she's pretty good, but the man showed her how it's done at about 1:43. climbing up the slide outside of it, BOSS.

  • I am a girl to, but if i had to say that was not parkour.

  • Really liked it, nice mix with gymnastics :)

  • GOOD JOB, REALLY REALLY GOOD JOB.

  • Ending was boss. WIsh more women was that cool and badass.

  • how many times did you almost die learning how to do this o_o

  • whoa. i could never do that haha this is cool :]

  • This is all I want, if I had a traceuse for a girlfriend I'd kick her out everyday, chase her down, and then carry her home and bang her. Although Erica doesn't seem like she'd be that hard to catch with all the flips she does ;D Sweet vid!

  • A girl who knows how to work them poles like a pro, sounds like my kind of girl. ;)

  • you are amazing girl.... (cool)

  • 1:20 yeah, gymnastic skills

  • Exellent gymnastic skills, and it looks like they're transfering quite well to parkour! She's doing well, can't wait to see her when she's been training a little longer, it's looking like her style will develope nicely :D

  • she looks super, she is super.. but for me its getting used to see a girl which is makink parcour BUT AWESOME !! :D

  • I want a girl like that here in slovakia... :\

  • Awesome ;>

  • lol, kid failing at slide at 1:46 while shes flippin off a bar

  • she is a great gymnast. but that is not parkour. here is the definition of parkour. Two primary characteristics of parkour are efficiency and speed. Traceurs take the most direct path through an obstacle as rapidly as that route can be traversed safely .... she is not taking a route she is only doing a street routine from the gym. not taking away from her amazing ability but she could not keep up with a real traceur.

  • @oceandreamzzz thanks, she knows the definition of parkour. she chooses to have more of a freerunning style because that is what she likes to do. and just like all of us, she practices and mixes both parkour and freerunning. you should look up the apex movement invitational. it is a pure speed based parkour competition. erica won the women's division for the past 2 years.

  • @ColoradoParkour but Parkour is just the competition with yourself there should absolutely be no competition between different runners

  • @oceandreamzzz Parkour is easily defined as "getting form point A to point B in any way you think is most creative"

  • @sesewillbernalu i would disagree with the most creative word.. Parkour is defined by getting frm point A - B as fast as you can..

  • lara croft junior

  • What kind of exercises does she do? I want to get into parkour/freerunning, but I'm worried about what I need to focus on working out most. I know I should be fit overall, but is there anything I should really concentrate on? Like arms or abs?

  • офигеть как круто !!!!!

  • Will you marry me?

  • Don't take me wrong, this girl is very skilled but she is more a gymnast doing her moves on the street than a traceuse/free-runner.

  • youre intimidating

  • I'm a guy and I get double-takes doing Parkour. I can only imagine with her, people stare.

  • Note really Parkour, more Gymnastics.

Parkour was developed for fast travel, not pouncing about.

    Pretty good freerunning though.

  • @sagarat why put a name on it? "Parkour" is the art of motion. Supposedly no rules, no limitations. when you say that what she is doing isn't parkour, you are limiting it. I know you are one of those people that say "Point A to B is parkour, flips is freerunning."

But what's the point of that mentality? Can't we just move around and have fun without having to worry about what people call it?

  • @woodlandsparkour

Why distinguish "Free Running" from "Dancing"?

    Why distinguish "Sprinting" form "Gymnastics"?

But I know that I am fighting a loosing battle. It is clear that "l'art du déplacement" no longer has a term that it is recognised by. Even though Parkour was coinded for that purpose, everyone, including yourself, now thinks "Parkour" means "Urban Gymnastics" and "Flipping around".

But is still annoys me, just like that Alanis Morriset song "Isn't it Ironic" (No, it isn't).

  • @sagarat I think I have found an orginaziation you will like. It is called the Parkour Federation. What distinguishes them from Urban Freeflow, APK, etc is that they are almost exclusively purists. I recently put up a video of their first jam, and as you can see, there are very few flips.

No, I do not think parkour means urban gymnastics. I just long ago decided to stay unrestrained by words. Everybody thinks of parkour differently. To me, it is creative and efficien movement.

  • wow your good! I saw 1 move that no guy has ever done I think!

  • So awesome!

  • Great vid! great practitioner! and great music!

  • Awesome, would you get married with me ? xD

  • menos estilo de gimnasio y mas freestile!!

  • Very nice!

  • use other tennis

  • not parkour

  • Parkour?

    correção por favor?!?

  • i like how there was almost no parkour in this video... FAIL

  • @jetgreen1510 HATERS GONNA HATE... *WALKS*

  • @sexyflameboy2000 that's not hating. thats correcting a mistake. this is almost all free running. NOT parkour.

  • @jetgreen1510

    dude she's hot

    she can flip

she can do and incorporate true gymnastics into it

she can probably kick your ass

she's probably better at gymnastics than you

    so YOU FAIL.

  • @maltesevictorian ok first of all.. looks have nothing do with what is or is NOT parkour or free running. Yes she can flip, great observation you have eyes I'm proud of you for using them. Yes she can incorporate true gymnastics into it which takes it farther from true Parkour. Maybe she can kick my ass but if she can do that she can kick yours harder. And i don't doubt that she's better at gymnastics than me. But that has nothing to do with what i said. so calm down.

  • @jetgreen1510

    Pardon my rash statements hithero!

Good sir I do undoubtedly adore my ocular abilities!

I must raise a point of contention!

I'm not sure if she could do that in both our cases.

    No I shant calm down!

Please retire to thine dwelling and proceed to engage in a long session of Xbox360!

nah srsly brah I was jus playin.

  • @maltesevictorian I was actually thinking about playing some more reach. but no. I'll probably play zelda. Just kidding.. kinda but anyways.. now onto a totally different topic that has not much to do with anything. How does one have 39 upload views with no uploads?

  • @jetgreen1510

that's the magic behind being the maltesevictorian

  • wow, you are one of the best female free runners in the world!!

  • kool, u she great balance , im a rookie freerunner but if u told me to jump off the empire state building i wouldnt say no ;) lol

  • At 2:01 is the filming done while on the swing haha?

  • @Jus7incopk haha yea Ryan filmed it while standing up and swinging =D

  • i would buy you a new bouquet of flowers every day.

  • wow, your doing everything i wish i could do :( you learned so much in 8 months. =/ wish i could do the same.. i can tell how much positivity you put into it too though. =] keep up the excellent work!

  • Omg.. She's AWESOME!!!

  • 7 fags watched this movie -.- respect for you !

  • @bouwmanetje awwww thanks XD

  • Awesome!^^

  • no doubt this is impressive but if i may give some constructive criticism, i'd say you need to work on your flow and having better control over your movements before doing big stuff. keep progressing!

  • lol random dude at 1:52

  • id tap that

  • Very nice!!

  • Very nice!! Good job)))

  • wow this is great!

  • На перилці просто ппц!)

  • DAAAAAAAM O_O. Representing parkour better than some of the men. Nice ^_^. Love your style btw. Got that graceful feel to it. Everything flows perfectly. I wish I was that flexible, hmm, now I gotta go flex train >.<

    Great vid ^^

  • Medio culo yo la quieroo babaa

  • Girls just wanna have fun

  • hace muchos mortales lo q signific q va al gimnasio pero esta bien admiro un chica q se atreb a hacer eso

  • aaah no mames quiero que me coja esa morra :$:$(l)

  • I guess girls in colorado in general are just f'ing bad ASS traceurs haha!!! I'm impressed.

  • why only girls who practive gymnastic really run in parkour ?

  • Excellent! Amazing moves.

    Great camera work too.

  • I want one

  • Nice vid shit awesome very nice flips! :D

  • Good looking girl with some pretty badass fluid moves! I like her much more fluid and graceful style, really cool to see a girl in freerunning :)

  • Além de linda, manda muito =]

  • Wow,very nice! Did she have a gym were she trains?

Or is a gymnast ? :-? Good luck!

  • @ully4u both. I was a gymnast prior, but now I train parkour and freerunning at Apex Movement.

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid Nice. And you are from Colorado?

    Good luck at the trainings!

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid You're amazing, keep progressing :D

  • you call this parkour? it's not even freerunning. it's just gymnastics in the city, even freerunning is not all about flips. she is good and has a lot of talent, but the video shows only stunts, and not parkour nor freerunning. try to put in the basics, from point a to b. parkour is like a story, from the beginning to the end, and everything is connected. these are just random events.

Everything said here is my opinion.

oh, and sorry if there are any mistakes, English is not my best language.

  • @renegadephantom

actually freerunning has to do with the flair involved, so it's generally less efficient, but there was quite a bit of point A to point B, efficient or not. and so basically the only reason it's gymnastics and not freerunning is because it's a cleaner style? I'm just not sure I understand

  • @renegadephantom Free running is gymnastics in the city... otherwise why is gymnastics such a key element in free running that track and field as well as rock climbing is to parkour.

  • She is so cute :D

  • floats like a butterfly stings when you pee her pants are tite but very comfeeeeee

  • I liked the clip outside of the Green Center at Mines. Would have been cool to see her training there.

  • Best girl freerunning I've ever seen.

  • she's pretty gangster! nice stuff.

  • just wanted to say thanks real quick to everyone who has given me positive and constructive feedback, I really appreciate it = )

  • she is awesome but i think she has more to show!

  • siiick stuff really liked it :)

  • OMG! She is way tougher than me! If I just hit my knee I quit for like 10-15 minutes until I start back again!=D But great video!... Wonder if I can get my girlfriend to train with me!=)

  • she's obviously a gymnast, but better than me so good job :)

  • wow she is really awesome!!! her gymnastics background makes her style very cool to watch. one thing i noticed though is that she tends to let her knees cave inward when she lands and that is one of the biggest reasons women have higher rates of acl and mcl tears than men. i wish i could train with her and help her with landings.

  • @teamjinsoku thanks, yea I've been working on that, and it's not that I haven't been told to fix that, it's just such a habit that I have to keep working on it 'till it gets ingrained lol.

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid i hear ya. i don't know what kind of conditioning you do, but strengthening the abductors often helps this problem. one of my favorites is the abductor band squats im sure you could find a tutorial by diesel crew of efts showing proper technique or i could PM you some videos if you want.

  • @teamjinsoku yea that would be awesome! thanks = ) and thank you for giving me positive feedback for improvement instead of just criticizing, because I know no matter how good you are, there's always room for improvement!

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid for sure. and i hope it doesn't sound like anything other than constructive criticism. your obviously very talented and i thought your video was great. ill send you some links

  • yeah! fuck lucy steel!!! xd

  • @traceur950 What does Luci have to do with this? Luci's awesome. Would you write "yeah! fuck Livewire!!! xd" on a Daniel Ilabaca video? Somehow I don't think so. Even if you weren't being sexist, it's still rude.

  • @BerettaSFPK do not understant! xd

  • This is soo good for a girl.

  • Hey its a Girl man! got love it!

she could be better than Lucy Steel

    Nice tho:)

  • The back walkovers on the handrails were SICK!

  • sickk

  • This reel is legit!! Some amazing stuff in there, Loved the back walk over on the pole and the bar work!!

  • @TappBrothers Thanks man. She skateboards too. You should hook her up with one of those nanos! :)

  • @ColoradoParkour Yea I remember seeing some of her short skate videos a lil while back. Just an all-around badass chick. Yea I def. need to hook her up!

  • @TappBrothers thanks = ) yea I'm working on integrating my skateboarding and parkour/freerunning, you guys and william spencer were definitely some big influences for wanting to expand the creativity of this sport.

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid Aww your making me blushh lol Well your definitely doing a great job of putting your own style into your movement. Glad we could be an influence and look forward to your next videos!!

  • Obvious gymnast but thats not a bad thing, awesome sampler

  • thats was cool, back walk over on the rail was beast

  • iv only seen to vids with girls doin parkour and this one is 10 times better then the other one

  • Sweet stuff, definitely deserves her spot in APEX movement! Keep the videos coming and train safe from Canada!

  • Interesting (came here through an Azo favourite). The movement here is very graceful; possibly more reminiscent of a controlled gymnastics routine than of the typically twitchier movements I associate (perhaps unfairly) to freerunning/parkour.

  • Damn. No fear on those rail cartwheels and really solid flipping, too. Strong gymnastics background I'm guessing.

  • 8 months?!? wow... its clear she was a Gymnastic background but still

    =^)

  • sick handstand or back cartweel on the handrails.....sicknesS!

  • Best female freerunner I've seen yet.

  • bravo000oo0 :) from greece

  • very very very very nice girl *--*

    congratulation ;D

  • Very VERY nice!! Your gymnastics background really shows but it look so sick with parkour! Keep it up! :D

  • shes very nice, i liek it !!

  • fuck her ass looks nice :)

  • @TheMrNormal get a girl limpdick

  • Wow!!!!

    crazy Like!!!!!

  • 1:37 Little kid getting SERVED, he can't even crawl up the slide XD

  • very good me encantaa :D sigue asinn

  • Clearly from a gymnastic background. She still doesn't have parkour in her.

  • hey , good job nice video !

    i like you're style

    please check my channel

  • 1:15 and 2:11 were beast!

  • The last second=D

    Ohhh my feet

  • AWESOME!

  • nice video, cool camera from 2:00 - 2:03 (:

  • That ain't parkour, that's free running.

  • @DoraTheDino That ain't free run. That's just gymnastic. ;]

  • @NetaPK

    why making a problem?

when a boy does this it is parkour/freerunning

when a girl does this it is gymnastic

please just watch and enjoy the free movement

    like she does

    peace out

  • @tribalrunners Why are YOU make a problem? If I liked those moves I be enjoyed. But I don't. I wachted this video... And don't like it. Don't can I? And why are you wrote that gymnastic boys are freerunners? Gymnastic and 3run are totally different. :D She is a gymnastic. Really good gymnastic. But her parkour... this isn't parkour. I don't know why she wrote "parkour girl". Maybe because this is trendy? I think that she even don't know that girl who do parkour is a traceuse.

  • @NetaPK Exactly. She's good at gymnastics. But she's yet to learn parkour. Just saying what's what. Not discouraging her. With her level of fitness, she can be an excellent traceuse.

  • @manonmercy Yes, yes. And say "parkour" and do gymnastic isn't fair... "Parkour" is not a popular name... but it's not a reason to use this name and doing something totally different. Maybe she should look on some experienced traceuses? Kat, Michi, Flame... They move with confidence... Parkour style of movements are different than gymnastics. And it shows.

  • @NetaPK Yeah, it is all because parkour is the new "cool" thing. Earlier all these flips and tricks were known as "street gymnastics" or "acrobatics".

  • @NetaPK Erica was a gymnast her whole life so obviously thats going to influence her parkour and freerunning. Just like martial arts and Ryan Doyle or bboying and Livewire. Some of her parkour is still a bit rough around the edges, but to say she doesn't move with confidence is unfair. In Aug., we held a parkour competition with hundreds of athletes from all over the USA. Guess who was by far the fastest, most efficient female athlete? Look up the 2010 APEX Movement Invitational to see her runs.

  • @ColoradoParkour I see girls on trainings, in their videos, in actions. And I can say that Erica's move are very different than moves another traceuses.. than any traceuse. APEX? Very bad example :D I seen these videos. And I had only one think:"wtf was that?".If THAT was "the fastest".. I just don't have any questions.I must say that you have very weak traceuses then. Sorry. Good gymnastic.Keep it up. Train strenght, traing speed... Because that isn't parkour yet

  • @NetaPK Hey, I just checked out your 2010 sampler, it was awesome, keep up the hard work, you had a lot of good potential, you should totally come to the next Apex Movement Invitational, I would love to train with you there, it's always nice to have another talented female to train with = )

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid Thank you. It will be great training with another traceuses from abroad... But I don't have many on traveling. :( It's not simple... I'm travel only around Poland. Mayebe someday... Parkour it's not about talent...it's about hard work. So every girl who train with passion have a potentcial. ;] The point is to focus it on right way.

  • @NetaPK Hey, I just checked out your 2010 sampler, it was awesome, keep up the hard work, you had a lot of good potential, you should totally come to the next Apex Movement Invitational, I would love to train with you there, it's always nice to have another talented female to train with = )

  • @NetaPK

i am not making a problem so relax abit please ;)

i am just saying that she is proberly new (if she is doing parkour/freerunning)

and because this doesn`t look likes the best tracer or freerunner, it isn`t gymnastic all of the sudden

and i dont say gymnastic boys are freerunners, i only pointed out that from my point of few, it looked like you where saying this is gymnastic like she cant do parkour or freerunning only gymnastic

    sorry for miss understanding

    dont meant to offent yo

  • @NetaPK Why are ignorant assholes always the most terrible writers. There must be a correlation...

I can't really understand what you're trying to say, but I have one question: where do you draw the line between gymnastics and freerunning?

  • @shickashame Why should I talking with you if you are SO UNPLEASANT? :D My English is not perfect and sometimes it's hard to explain some things... So you know... But if you don't see the line between gimnastic and 3run... Something is wrong. :D Somebody confuse 3run with acrobatics... But 3run with gymnastics? No way! :D

  • @shickashame That was kind of like asking where the line between ballet and breaking is...

  • @tribalrunners thanks for the support and perspective. I do a lot of parkour as well and had clips of just efficient movement that didn't get used in this video, but this video wasn't meant to define anything, it was just to show bits of what I've been working on, so thanks again for just enjoying it = )

  • @EricaNicoleMadrid

    loved it :D

  • she`ll kick my assxD

  • bril'yant.

  • I admit, this is pretty good. But, uh...how is this Parkour?

Parkour is getting to point A to B as efficiently and quickly as possible, it does not include flips or tricks.

Freerunning on the other hand, is similar but includes flips and rotations. And is also a fighting style.

Thats some pretty impressive skillz, but the title does seem a bit...misleading. At least one of the tags is Freerunning.

  • nice video

  • Even though this is far from parkour, her skills are impressive

  • @Ph4nt4sm4ge No where was there a claim that this is strictly parkour, and yeah, her abilities of movement are very impressive.

  • @shickashame It's not about being strict. It's about being true to what you claim.Video is called Girl "Parkour".People have a tendency to interpret freerunning, tricking and gymnastics as parkour. Most of the people who don't know parkour got the wrong idea mostly because of viral videos claiming to show parkour but ending up showing other things. It's ok to confuse freerunning with parkour because visually the differences sometimes can be minor. But with gymnastics, that's another story.

  • @Ph4nt4sm4ge

Don't know how you live Parkour, probably more then I do, but anyways -

    word.

  • 1.19 is ridiculous. I´m really impressed. wow

  • GO ERICA!!! Loved it!!

  • Nice moves, we can see how girl can express themselves by the movement, just beautiful.

  • Niceeee

  • Pretty much just gymnast stuff.

Hope I am allowed to love it anyways. ;)

  • @m0Rt4lSin Where do you draw the line between "just gymnast stuff" and freerunning. Stop judging and think about that for just one second.

  • @shickashame

I don't know. Didn't mean to insult anyone. Really loved her movements.

But I think you can definitly see her influences by gymnastics and stuff.

I mean she didn't "learn it herself" or she didn't learn all those flips because she wanted to go out at spread the love with movements. She probably learned almost all that stuff before she knew that there is something like Parkour. Just changes the style(and maybe the attitude, but that is something I really can't judge)

    Loved it though

  • awesome :)
