Quite a bit of paranoia on this comments board. The advantages of robots that can piece themselves back together outweigh the possible dangers. You would have to PROGRAMME a robot to do harm, so as long as we don't do that, life will be made easier by robots. It's not the technology that should be feared, but the agenda of human beings that use technology for murder

@Iamthenoi No its the fact that robots replace to many workers and will cause huge job losses and poverty. EG. My buddy works at the Ford plant where I live and there is an area where all the lights are turned off and robots work. Typically that wouldve been 113 jobs for HUMANS. And how long do you think it would take to program a robot to do harm by some nut bar, or a program that allows the robot to write its own program or for it to be hacked or infected with a virus etc etc.

What's truely sick is society is set up so its bad if we design technology to do our jobs, as we lose earning power. Instead it should be set up so when a robot can do our job we go "Woohoo" I can do something else.
