  • @btnheazy03 Oh for Christ's sake! Are you seriously calling out some one who doesn't speak English as their first language for their ability to use English! What other languages do you speak, you redneck? Try having a conversation with StrengeHenk in Dutch. The English that he is using lets me know perfectly well what his point is but even if you wrote like Shakespeare I still would have no idea why you came on youtube to whine about an Olympian or what your point is. What a drama queen!

  • @btnheazy03 And you think you aren't an even bigger asshole for calling him a "faggot." Are you still on the middle-school playground where those childish insults mean something? Grow up!

  • hell no!:P

  • Reginaa84: While the Dutch were skating in circles trying to win a "disk" to wear around their neck, the USA was busy hosting the UNITED NATIONS. You LEARN ENGLISH, yet we feel NO NEED to speak Dutch. Let's not even talk about import/export, and aiding ANYONE who needs it! "Humanity" is/was and always will come first to us. How much does YOUR COUNTRY (per person) donate to to "humanistic" catastrophies? Haiti? Chile? Africa? - Instead of "skating", you should LEARN from us you arrogant morons!

  • The Netherlands gave quit a lot of money to both Haiti and Chile, so let's just drop that! and if you had something so important in your own country then why was she there?? If you go there you should know who's going to be competing!

  • lol the USA where also as busy getting some metal plates for their necks. We do just as much for Haiti, and stuff, wft did the USA do for New Orleans? Its still a fuckin warzone over there. First get your own things sorted out before you start judging other people on what they did do or didnt do. And hell no I'm not planning on learning from americans. the only thing you can learn is how to go to war with no good fuckin reason;)

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia

I wouldn't consider myself pro-dutch at all, even though I'm dutch. But you sir, are quite ignorant.

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia

You fucking American skankwhore, America only aids itself under the cover of 'spreading freedom and democracy' you flag-sucking patriotic piece of shite.

Secondly what the fuck does the world have to learn from the US? How to make masses so retarded they vote for pricks like Bush TWICE?! How to be a warmongering, god fearing nation of drones?

Americans are big babies, never take a look on the other side of the fence and generally are an offense to the human race.

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia hey retard last time i checked u damn americans like to KILL other countries:

    Japan,Iraq,Afghanistan

THE DUTCH DONT FUCKING MESS WITH OTHER COUNTRIES JUST BECAUSE WE CAN

    so STFU

  • Je hebt helemaal gelijk Sven hoe je daar op reageerde!

Ik zou precies hetzelfde doen ;)

  • @ flodessel: Hahaha - It must REALLY suck being Dutch. Seriously... Look up that countries' history. When a "speed-skater" is considered a national hero, you know how insignificant you are in the grand scheme of things.

1,000 meters: Shani Davis - USA,

    GOLD MEDAL!

10,000 meters: Sven "Idiot" Kramer - NLD,

    (disqualified for changing lanes!)

Enough of this IDIOT already! - Holland is an INSIGNIFICANT country, filled with rude and pompous COWARDS! - It's too easy to make fun of them! - NEXT!

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia

Funny how your country was basically a copy of the Dutch you hate so much. Free market, stock market, multicultural society, freedom for every nationality..

It's like basically you're saying you aren't proud of yourself haha..

On top of that, we have only 16 million people, you have almost 300 million. We have less sporters who win medals, which is only logical. What's more funny, Germany has almost the same amount of medals as USA, and they have 80 million people haha

  • It's really easy to say that if you have not looked into a countries history, 'cause if you would, you would have seen haven't been insignificant! We had history before your country even existed!! Maybe you should honour people who do someting significant, like ice-skaters, but also firemen or your veterans from Irac, more!

  • lol 1.000 meters what a fuckin achievement. and the part where Sven Kramer switched lanes was because his bloody coach told him to? havent you watched the skating? Last week he did it again. And you cant compare Shani and Sven. Shani cant skate 10k meters like Sven. he'll be dead by then. Americans and their big mouths. Dont you have a war to fight or something? otherwise start one again with no reason

  • He's a talented speed skater, very good looking, very fast... but that was pretty rude of him to call the journalist stupid even though she asked a stupid question...

  • @flodessel: You wrote "bitter your countrymen sucked these games aren't you........:-))" Aside from not knowing where to put the word "at" in your sentence, the FACT that these are "games", and the winner gets nothing but "prestige" and "bragging rites" among other skaters, I can GUARANTEE that not ONE PERSON working for NBC-TV will interview him when someone beats his sorry ass during the next games! His 15 minutes of fame are OVER!

  • and yes he is an amazing long track skater

  • damn the generalizing in here is crazy.....one individual does not represent the whole country. i am from american and do believe he could of handled the situation a little more gracefully but thats completely ignorant of her to start the interview like that.

  • Why Doesn´t the reporter start with:

I´m standing here with Sven Kramer winner of 5000m speed skating, Sven tell us about your race ?

That will be identification for any editor.

    This is just bad journalism.

  • wat een dom wijf!! echt fucking stom.. Ik weet niet hoor, maar dan ben je toch echt een kut reporter :S die naam kunnen ze haar niet schenken.

    fuck offffffffffffffffffff............

he is great. That thing is so stupid.. kinda dom.

  • Well a fun start to a Sunday, have a good one Dejpar

  • Thanks mate... you too!

  • And American Journalists asks a 12 time world champion and olympic gold medalist who he is !

Maybe next time Tiger woods give a intervjuv he starts with.

I´m Tiger Woods I´m American and play Golf ? .......

  • Sorry Dejpar, your right, I shouldn't take advantage of this poor sod.

  • Oh, don't be sorry... It's fun! :))))

  • The word stupid in capital letters is really a big thing for you isn't it? But maybe mix it up a little, try a new word from time to time

  • Of course VimisiDigitalMedia, before an athlete competes he needs to do his research about who might interview him after. A good point indeed! I see you have deep insights. By the way, we can read comments in lower case equally well as in capitals. Do yourself a favour, give it up

  • llol....i know huh...how soon they forget.

  • Oh by the way, what's this 'we' stuff you're talking about VimisiDigitalMedia, you just said you weren't American.

  • Where did I say I wasn't AMERICAN? haha (Are you STUPID?)

  • Haha VimisiDigitalMedia, excellent response, You just made yourself out to be an even greater idiot than I thought was possible. Oh, don't forget to wipe the foam of your mouth

  • oh... come on... stop abusing that guy... and show some respect for "the leading country"... lol

  • Yeah, if I was the reporter, I would have done my research and instead asked him, "dear Ginger, why do Gingers HAVE NO SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • this guy just won the gold medal and was wearing an orange shirt with word netherland plastered all over him....and still the reporter asked him where he's from??!! she is stupid!

  • GINGERS HAVE NO SOUL!!!!!!!!

  • Cool guy. I like Dutch people.

  • My god VimisiDigitalMedia, you really should stop posting comments here. You're not doing yourself any favours. Well unless you like to show everybody what an indiot you are. In that case, congrats! 'Mission accomplished!' to quote one of your heroes.

  • Oh by the way, with a national deficit of $11,040,807,027,558 (probably beyond your comprehension VimisiDigitalMedia), we can argue about the US status of 'leading' in the world. Certainly the world leader in deficit!

  • It just shows how ignorant you are VimisiDigitalMedia. And have you seen this guy 'you'll call queer' up close. I'd love you to say that in his face. A gold medallist no matter where they're from or what discipline deserves respect. Tell us, what is your great contribution to the world bar posting stupid messages like the one you just did?

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia

nah, what for, he's a millionaire, only in your stupid country fading stars perform at disney land for childish faggots like you

HELLO, I AM AN AMERICAN, MY LIFE'S GOAL IS TO TAKE MY OBESE FAMILY TO DISNEY LAND.

PUT ON MY STUPID BASEBALL HAT, GRAB A HOT DOG, SHOVE IT IN MY HERPES STRICKEN YANKEE MOUTH AND DANCE WITH GOOFY AT THE DISNEY LAND.

LOOK AT ME, I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN, AND SO MANY picturessss, yeah amerikkkan, pictures- you love pictures

  • Great stuff Sven! I wonder what Tiger Woods would have said if asked the same question after winning the PGA?? Well I'm Tiger Woods, I'm from the US.. Come on, get real!

  • Sir, tell me your name, occupation and what did you win here, it's for tape identification...

I am Barack Obama, I'm president of US, I just won Nobel prize for peace... what else do you want to know...

YEAH RIGHT!!!!! Give me a break!!!

  • Oh boy... you ARE an American Idiot... sorry mate... more then that... you are an ignorant, self esteemed, arrogant american idiot...

  • @dejpar

yes and on top of all that.................. VimisiDigitalMedia is jealous of dutch being so successful at speedskating.

    sour grapes

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia

    you mean China

btw, can you skate and by that I don't mean on quads with pink fuzzy pom-poms on top?

bitter your countrymen sucked these games aren't you........:-))

  • @VimisiDigitalMedia

  • American Idiot (Green Day)

    Well done Sven!!!!

  • Wow what a stupid fucking bitch, this is what happens when you let broads on the sidelines. Fuck her and nbc.

  • simply put, this NBC reporter is a goof. your one job is to pay attention to what happens and ask the athelete how he/she feels.......yes the canadians are behind when it comes to speedskating, but the americans are more then often just ignorant to anyone else "un-american"

  • I thought it was hilarious.

He's right though. You don't consult the athlete afterwards about who he is and what he won, the "anchors" or whoever should introduce him in. It should be about his experience or the race. He shouldn't have to introduce himself like that. That's just sloppy newswork.

  • It's a slate of sorts. Does this clown think he's the only interview on the "roll." It's a tag on the video, that's all. Check your ego at the door please. Sorry the Dutch have not manners. Must be his first experience with the real media.

  • This "clown"does not have to think about being the only interview on the "roll". He just needs to think about skating, mate. We did see a journalist though, who lets be honest, probably does not have to interview every participant there, just some winners and apparently did no research at all in return for a salary. As for your generalisation of the Dutch, that already indicates what a clown you are yourself.

  • I still didn't quite catch his name.

  • omg, why would Sven say such a rude thing to the reporter! I agree with people who said that there are others who just tuned in and missed what happened. The NBC reporter was just doing her job!!!

    give her a break~

  • Shes not asking for the knowledge to herself but to people who don't know who this person is.

Now i will remember Sven as a guy with shitty attitude

  • The reporter was stupid in making Sven do her job for her. If she needed tape ID all she had to do was say, "Im am so and so here with Sven of the Netherlands who just won a gold medal in the x event ... Sven how do you feel?" Instead she turns him into her employee by saying she "needs him to" identify himself for her company so that they dont have to work so hard. She is a buffoon who made herself and her company look like idiots. But making it an American thing is ridiculous too.

  • This has nothing to do with American spectators, it has to do the an NBC employee who is horrible at what she does and is too lazy to do her work correctly. That is all it means. Maybe Sven could have had a better response, but he probably has to deal with idiot reporters all the time. I would have probably said something similar. I dont blame Sven at all for his remark, but putting this on Americans is flat out stupid. Its one stupid lazy reporter who happened to be American.

  • how do you know she was lazy? If he had to deal with stupid reporters all the time then he would have known what to expect ,right? and you doing something similar makes you just as arrogant. The reporter looked too busy trying to do her job to be called lazy

  • Where is Holland again, didn't the whole country sink like Atlantis??

  • LOL? What is more stupid?

    A) Asking a world champion and olympic gold medalist's name for tape identification?

    b) Asking an olympian about how he feels after winning gold?

It would have been funny if Sven answered, "How do you think I feel?"

Not a very smart reporter indeed. Sorry.

  • Asshole

  • she didnt get "owned " he just showed that he was a jack ass ..now who is owned?

  • asshole.. lol when he is complaining, it really shows what kind of stupid fucker he is.

  • lol americans are so stupid...

  • well that was realy intelligent to say especially since you have met each and every american to be able to say this .Ill bet I can judge your country by your words then.

  • Yo Sven, I'm really happy for you, and imma let you finish, but SHAUN WHITE is the greatest olympian of ALL TIME. OF ALLLLL TIME!

  • Micheal Phelps says hello.

I think I spelled his name wrong but you get the point.

  • @Stevenio yeah, that's a great one too. Besides having more medals, American athletes also have more class and treat everyone with respect.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, the guy is clearly very arrogant and disrespectful.

He is a piece of shit who was taught nothing but speedskating in his life. Time to earn a gold medal in manners.

  • Sven, don't worry. No one in North America will ever ask your name again...

  • He just won the race of a lifetime, the olympic golden medal! He doesn't care about the tape identification process of the NBC! They should figure that out themselves! She could have stated that herself before starting the interview. He's still on a high from winning his race and the reporter that witnessed the whole race can't ask anything better than where are you from, and what did you just win!!?? Come on now.......

  • saradioso yes he won the race of a lifetime, maybe two lifetimes ,this reporter didnt take anythingaway from it for doing her job,she didnt wake up this morning thinking only of him and how he should be worshipped which is what you america bashers want.He wins and now he gets to talk about it.How the hell did she ruin that for him by asking a question for identification. The business of reporting it still has to be followed

  • @saradioso

hm, what about people who just tuned in to their televisions? They weren't there to "witness the whole thing" and it's a reporters job to report what she's seen. Besides, he's just being really rude. There's no need for such a response, or is he just too good to take two seconds and say his name and country?

  • What this little faggot doesn't understand is that in all interviews, it is STANDARD practice to have the person being interviewed say their name, sometimes even having them spell it, for tape identification. That's so the editors who go through thousands of hours of tape know who the person is.

  • Once again. In journalism, especially when dealing with world/olympic champions, it is always respectful to know who the hell you are interviewing.

It's not like she asked him so that she could share this athlete with everyone else in North America, she was asking him (also for in interview about his skate) in a somewhat disinterested tone. If a dutch reporter nonchalantly asked Michael Jordan what his name was and what country he was from... You would all freak out about their ignorance.

  • @ohnoitsrose Yo, read my full comment if you're going to reply to it. TV reporters who ask this do so b/c their editors who often are in a trailer in another part of town combing thru thousands of hours of tape know how to log it. It has nothing to do with him feeling important.

  • old) and his name is like 50 feet upwards on a big screen t.v.

Oh shit, im sorry that he doesn't feel it's his duty to tell her what country he's from (even though he's wearing the uniform). I don't care if it's common journalistic practice. It's lazy. And he is under ZERO obligation to do this, especially as it's somewhat degrading.

God you people are fucking insane. Just look at your country. And your flipping out and getting aggressive over this?

You Americans man, god damned noobs.

  • Oh my god. You Americans and some Canadians. I am Canadian just for the record.

Especially the Americans. You people are fucking noobs. Jesus Fucking Christ.

ESPECIALLY those who are taking offense and swearing and cursing at Kramer. You truly are, a fucking idiot.

Look at all the athletes from your country. From NBA to NFL to PGA, your telling me that this world famous speedskater is an arrogant sonofabitch because he didn't want to identify himself to an American (even though he just won g

  • Given the intellect of your response here, I guess the words "social grace" probably escape you.

  • And another Gold medal for the Dutch! 1500m Mark Tuitert congrats!

  • Maybe Sven needs to learn better English. You can clearly hear the reporter say "I need you to say your name, your country and what you've just won" and that it's for "tape identification". She didn't say "what is your name". This guy's ego is so inflated and fragile, it should be embarrassing for the Netherlands. I'm far from a lemming defender of bad American behavior, but in this case, that jerk is truly arrogant beyond the pale. And the Netherlands reporter is no better. What a statement...

  • Pure & Simple: EIKEL!!! (translation: DICKHEAD)...a smug little sh*t who will eventually have karma play out on his arrogant ass.

  • this whole thing is blown out of proportion.

she should have introduced herself and explained the interview process prior to the beginning and he would have been clear as to her intention.

since she didn't it made them both look foolish.

its not a matter of american canadian or european.

its professionalism and obviously the lass lacks in this category.

  • Turbofairfield:

Actually, she mentions it before the interview that it is for tape identification. It's clear as day. In simple terms, he overreacted.

The one thing everyone seems to be overlooking here is that this is an international setting. It has a global reach. The reporter could have opted to ID the tape herself, but she didn't. Nonetheless, one would think Sven would have been proud to state his name and country with a BIG SMILE, especially after having just won the gold.

  • Grangerfl

No, she said 'i need you to say your name, your country and the medal you just won here'.

My point is if she had explained to him prior to filming that she was going to ask him this for the viewers and not because she was ignorant to this info, he would have responded much differently.

Because she didn't, he felt she didn't pay much heed to the race and therefore overacted.

  • Comment removed

  • Ok criticasters and fans, Sven is up next on the 1500m Check it out!

  • hahaha, they are wrote about this in swedish biggest newspaper...

  • oh come on, hes clearly overreacting.. she says loud and clear that its for tape identification... hes a bit of an ass to insult her like that..i think

  • lol yeah but it'd be smart for her to mention that first.. before asking him to do anything.

  • emu153: Haha give me a break for f#ck sake; yeah aim jelous of all you fuckers who live in the states.

  • Emu513:

The trouble with "America bashing" is that Europeans don't realize America is Europe and Europe is America. People on both sides tend to ignore that historical fact and turn things into "us" and "them." It's sad.

  • No they're not.

  • ha ha...funny! I know who Sven Kramer is, and he looks like a polite guy=) congratulate with the gold!

  • you actually know him?

  • What a jerk! It's common practice to have the interviewee state their name for the benefit of those in the editing studio who are probably nowhere near the oval. The dutch woman should have known that!

  • The reporter could say the name herself. No need for the speedskater.

  • Yes, he's far too important to say his own name isn't he.

  • @Hatchwork, reporters are heavily discouraged to do so because of the risk of mispronouncing the person's name.

  • If Cindy Klassen's nees were in better condition, she would have taken gold.

So, don't tell me that Canadians, don't know Speed Skating.

Comment For Below: U.S. wants full control over the oil, that's why their fighting non-sense overseas.

  • They're right, Canadians don't know speedskating. What kind if stupid response is that? Speedskating is followed on a daily basis there. Here we just know the names of some under achieving, over-interviewed canadian speedskaters.

Of course we don't know speedskating. They do.

  • Your from the U.S. or you have no pride for your own country Canada.

  • Is he so fragile that his "honor" would be offended by a question of identification? She didn't do anything wrong. He overreacted. In fact, his interviewer is the stupid one. He needs a reality check. It's common practice. She didn't single him out and intend to offend him.

Relax, Sven. It's a simple question of who you are and who you represent. Instead of reacting the way you did, you should have proudly stated your name and country. That would have been the honorable thing to do.

  • A reporter should be able to do their homework. What of someone approached, let's say Lindsay Vonn or some other known American sportsman and asked the same thing. State your name, home country, and what did you just win. It would actually look stupid. And not only that. It looks arrogant on the part of the reporter not to have done their research at first. So, perhaps Sven's reaction was abrupt but the reporter has to do their job as well in advance.

  • As I have said, she probably already knew who he was. She just watched him win the gold, his name is probably on some screen in the stadium, and his nation of original is printed on his suit. Its for the camera so that they have his information on record for future broadcasts. His behavior was shameful and reflects on his character. Even if he didn't understand the purpose and thought she was an idiot he had no right to speak to someone like that.

  • No way, Jose! Maybe that's how it's done in the USA, but not in Europe. I know what I'm talking about. So, if Americans do that still, they should get a reality check...it's the 21st century. Europe's far better in many ways, technologically speaking. Just check out the latest cell models available in Europe, and compare them to North America. That should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

  • @girlfromlebanon

Yeah, I bet you know what you're talking about. Don't lie just to make your point. Did you know that reporters in Italy and Germany use the same techniques of ID before an interview? I bet there are other nations that do the same (but that I don't know). American reporters aren't the only ones. So what's this amazing technology that eliminates the need for the reporter to do an ID check before? Wow me with your knowledge.

  • Wow, it's incredible that Europeans keep calling Americans arrogant. Can you hear the arrogance in your response? Guess not. But here's a newsflash for you... the Olympics are in North America this year, not in Europe. So if things are done differently than in Europe, Sven still had no excuse to react with the rudeness of a screaming red-face two year old baby. And the Netherlands reporter says he was "polite" to the end of the interview? Wow. What near-sighted arrogance!

  • Maarikas:

Orlan54 is correct. This is common practice. This is even done with world-famous entertainers. It is simply for tape identification, as she mentioned to him. He completely overreacted and took offense. This is because, as it appears, he has no idea about her work process.

Given that information, she could have opted to do a tape ID herself. But his reaction was crude.

  • yeah people, but if someone asked you those questions immediately after you won a gold medal, you would say the same thing...

  • All sideline reporters are slow. Thats why they are there.

As for the dutch chick , I guess she doesn't know that speedskating is actually a big sport in Canada that Canadians do very well at.

    Is the dutch chick stupid?

  • First- Canadian reporters are not that dumb! So don't put them in the same boat with the American, 'cause the only thing we share is a border, and partly...the language. Thanks, Sven for clearing things up!

I used to be an athlete as well, and in my whole life have not seen a reporter that poorly prepared! He was right to slam her, maybe not that harshly though...I would have chosen other words, like "Mam', do your homework first", or "Are you for real?". He is young and excited, that's all.

  • Do you think the culture magically changes once you cross an imaginary line?

  • Actually things don't magically change near the border of the U.S. and Mexico either but that's besides the point. It's a false analogy. Mexico and the U.S. have different languages, vastly different economies, and different racial/ethnic demographics. Between America and Canada all three of these all very very similiar with a few exceptions. There is more cultural variation between regions of the U.S./Canada then there is between the two countries.

  • wow, what a jerk he is!

  • Ah he's a 20 year old kid...he doesn't have his ears wet in life yet. Add another 10 years to his short life and he probably wouldn't have been so hostile.

  • I don't know whats more shameful; his response or the people supporting his response. It was pure arrogance. They do the taping like that so they have the proper pronunciation and nation of origin on file, it's not part of the interview. Believe it or not Sven Kramer isn't a household name in the U.S.. Even if you don't understand why someone is asking you to do that or don't think its the appropiate time you shouldn't call them stupid, they're just doing their job.

  • All the negative comments about the little self important asshole are gone.

NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN HOLLAND LOL

Do you blame them if they get haughty when they are allowed to a free country?

  • I will repeat myself. Btw. you don't see the negative comments because they have a negative rating not because they are removed. We have no censorship on tv so you can say fuck and anything else you want. I don't remove any post. It is in my favor to see you guys argue over this. It provides me with more hits. And it is fun to see these outrageous comments that make people look like asses, lmao! I am not the fcc. Now thats true freedom of speech

  • Comment removed

  • With negative ratings you should still see the post, only it is hidden, or in case of too many negative ratings, it doesn't show anymore, but, the ID still does.

  • My two cents: It's a bit rude and bizarre to ask the guy who he is right after he has won the gold when the reporter was at the venue all along. So I can understand why he was taken aback and blurted out the "s" word. The media asks dumb questions all the time - so no harm done if somebody calls them on it once in a while. But people using the incident to bash another country is petty and sad - God bless America, Canada and the Netherlands! Good people can be found in each! I like them all!

  • Asking athletes to state this information is standard practice for many media outlets so they get their captions right. Even Michael Phelps had to do it.

  • She probably knew his name and nationality, it's not for her. It's for the archives, thats why she asked for it into the camera. They have probably asked dozens of people to do the same yet he is the only one to act like a complete douchebag.

  • prince ,you would be wrong.thats all

  • Yes, she seems stupid. You are right!

  • I thought the Netherland sank 20 yrs ago??I can't even locate it on my map

  • I still dont understand this country bashing going on ,I have contributed to this forum a number of times and have yet tosee more than a handful who are only critisizing the individuals and not the entire country. I dont judge the netherlands based on the bad manners of one overly self important skater. You also shouldnt judge an entire country based on one reporter doing what reporters do.

  • the guy is a fugly duck!!! can't blame him for having an ego after hatching from his momma

  • how the hell being ugly has anything to do with sportsmanship?

are you a beauty pageant judge? that might be it.

  • do you want to be judged as well, on the scale of 1-10 i would not give you a 1 and i'm being generous

  • well spoken like a true queen! good for you.

  • I'd hate to see your face in real life

  • its cool.

  • American Journalists ARE stupid, Sven... Congratulations on your Olympic Gold. Just so your followers know, we Canadians actually DO know what the hell is going on -- it's our American neighbours' TV networks that don't have a clue. They mixed up a Canadian TV Actor with a Canadian Hero who lost his life fighting cancer for cryin' out loud. If it's not American, they don't have any real knowledge of it...including you and your win. Too bad for them,

  • Hey Bainesly, I'm Canadian, and I think Sven was a jerk. Maybe you need to listen to the tape again with a bit less bias. Listen to the reporter say it's for tape identification. Yeah, some reporter mixed up Terry Fox for Michael J. Fox. Get over it. It doesn't make Sven Kramer less of an arrogant crybaby.

  • aughf oldtensik flowfenhagen... who is this guy and what the crap is he rambling on about -- tape identification would have been nice here; oh well.

  • That holland reporter and guy think their better than America. Their just jealous America has more medals.

  • @tmla Jealous on America where people have no jobs, and the country is bankrupted.

  • @tmla

You'd feel superior to someone who wasn't doing her job AT ALL, wouldn't you?

  • who the fffffukkkk is this guy? he thinks hes hot or something, the fact is that nobody knows who he is, cocky little punk

  • dude, maybe you americans should try to focus not only on yourself. you americans are the ones who are cocky. fyi, sven kramer is the best ice skater in the world.

  • This 'little punk' is the best ice speed skater on the 5000 meters 10000 meters and all-round championships for the last four years and holds several world records. A lot of people consider him the best speed skater in the world. And he just won an Olympic gold medal on the 5000 meters.

Anyone who knows something about long track ice speed skating knows who this guy is.

Except of course, in the USA where ice speed skating hardly sees the light of day in a media which rather focuses on football.

  • even if she was an insolent twit, which she wasn't, there's no reason not to be graceful.

  • "That's just typical European arrogance."

I see you crept from your cave towards Utube to insult Europeans in general because of some incident between 2 individuals where some guy who just had the best moment of his live (gold) answers a stupid question of the sort "uhhh can you tell me who the f. you are dude? (do some homework for a salary!) in an ünnecessarily but emotionally understandibly rude way.

Mate, did this really get to you? Did you really lose some sleep over this? lol

  • Its just a question all reporters ask during major events like this. Its to make sure the editing people don't mix anything up.
