I stippled on the smaller blocks for convenience in making the video. I usually quilt my quilts all at one time. Yes, I do this on my small machine. It's really only tricky and bulky in the center of the quilt. I will however be posting a video showing how to quilt as you go so that you aren't sewing such a big piece at one time. It's a great method for beginners. Stay tuned for the next video called "Quilt As You Go". It should be up in a couple of weeks.
Thank you so much for your videos. I am fairly new to qulting you make stipling look so easy cant wait to try it. My question is I see that you sew on small blocks and not the entire quilt for stipling how do you sew those blocks together when you are done stipling on each one? Mahalo
What great ideas! I'm just getting some of the more simple blocks under my belt and will be attempting my own quilt soon and I wasn't sure how to go about "quiliting" the quilt LOL. Thank you so much for these great ideas!!!
I love using the marker. I use it for everything. You can buy the marker at Walmart and it is cheaper there than at fabric stores. One end of the marker is blue and the other end is purple. The purple disappears over time, the blue only disappears when you get the fabric wet. I have never had a problem using either color. Good luck.
Thanks for the great info on marking! I loved the tissue paper one. Do you ever have trouble removing the marks with the wash away marker. I've always been afraid to use one.
